So many memories that I forgot I even had flooded my mind when I heard 58:55. I can so vividly remember all of them now that I've been reminded of the many great times I had as a little kid with that camera app. It's incredible to think what kinds of incredibly deep and special memories a song as simple as this can unlock after years of them lying dormant at the backs of our minds. Truly remarkable.
same, i went looking for that specific song since it represents so much of our childhood, I enjoyed taking pictures of people I loved and thankfully I still have them on my DS and they bring me an immense feeling of nostalgia
Replies like this make me sad. I love remembering the glory days of DS games as much as anyone else, but...I like to look at this past systems as the inspiration for even better futures! I'm sure most of the people who played on the DS are playing on the Switch today, and music like these tracks and the system itself served as an inspiration for all that followed. Just hang in there - things will continue to be great, I just know it!
please, for nostalgia's sake, make one of these but like 3 hours of nostalgic Wii music, I grew up on the DS and Wii and boy do those themes take me back to a simpler time
Thank you for making this. I don't own a DS, but it is my favorite system, and this music is what I needed. I listened to this entire thing 5 times. Edit: I just got a DS a few days ago!!
The DS as a handheld was a tinge before my time, the only games I really remember playing on it were the multiplayer modes in Mario 64 and New Super Mario Bros. alongside a lot of Mario Kart DS. With that said, a nostalgic miasma oozes from every hole in the DS, you can really tell how much care was put into each and every game on the console. Everything from the GameCube up until the sunset years of the Wii-U felt so playful and the games on the DS exemplify that. The devices after it weren't as consistently solid about it. The Wii had a lot of it, and it's really more of a sibling to the DS, but the 3DS and Wii-U both kind of had a different vibe (not that that's a bad thing, I love those consoles a lot.) Maybe they ran out, or maybe I've got a bad case of nostalgia poisoning, but a lot of the Nintendo sauce isn't there for the Switch. There's no goofy menu music like the Wii, 3DS, and Wii-U had, and there isn't a silly little startup sound like on the Gameboy trilogy and DS. There's none of those little first party downloadable freeware titles, and there's nothing preinstalled to screw around with like Face Raiders or the Photo Channel. One half of me really misses those bells and whistles but the other really enjoys how streamlined newer consoles are, just get in there and use the console to play the games.
ngl i never really played the mario/kirby/nintendo games on my ds lol, I just played random ones I found in store like crash bandicoot and ben 10 because they were popular at the time
@@brightmusic8770 Understandable. I‘m now happy that child me basically refused to sell anything. I still have all my games I ever had for the DS and also the 3DS.
Omg I remember this 😢 Ds bring back so much memories cause I used to have one and play it mostly everyday and remember hearing all these songs 38:11 and 0:05 bring back so much memories I wanna cry
I remember the 2000s, I have a little bit of trauma sprinkled along with the good memories. The soundtrack that makes me happiest is "Walking the Dog" from Nintendogs. Reminds me of 2007. ❤
I really love that the theme that plays for the gambling games against Luigi is pretty much a more mellow version of the casino from Super Mario Sunshine
Nah, your parents are wrong imo. Video games is a modern entertainment product. Even the majority of 30-35 year olds are gamer. That has nothing to do with age.
