Why do you cut the shank? Does it help you get on pointe? I'm currently trying to figure out what works best for me since I have a disappearing heel and I don't feel very supported in the shoe...
cutting the shank makes it so that ur heel has a little shelf to sit on and it just fits better to your arch and overall looks better- it also helps the shoes last longer for some dancers
