Step-on-wheel braking: 1:50, 2:44
1️⃣ I bought a new deck - Pantheon Ember. It was the 3rd day of using it.
2️⃣ I have been learning pushing switch for 2 months. Keep practicing!
3️⃣ I was going home from the workplace at that time.
4️⃣ A rain guard made of an A4 file was temporarily installed because of the unstable summer weather.

That was mesmerizing! Do you brake by putting your feet directly om the wheel? Did I see that correctly? How does that work?

@@sietsewerk Yes, I used to step on the rear wheel to decelerate. It is to place the rear toe on the deck and press the rear heel on the rear wheel. Since both feet are still on the deck, it makes me feel stable. I used to apply this very convenient braking method. However, I found it wearing out the valuable wheels quite fast. It seems costly and unsustainable. I now use foot-brake with "Freebrake" brake sole. The durability and performance are excellent.

How neat you got a new board. Comparing the pantheon vs the drop cat what’s the ride like? Is one more stable vs fun then the other?

The main differences are the deck profile (rocker vs flat) and truck width (180mm vs 150mm). Because of these two different natures, I find Ember more suitable for long distance pushing👍.

It is a pair of mud guard. When rolling on wet roads, they can block some of the dirt and water from smearing on my pants and shoes. I use velcro tape and A4 plastic file to make it. photos.app.goo.gl/4pZJjbqseN2dAv3D6
