Could you please do a mini video guide on dealing with the heat/weather in general in Australia/tips for people moving to Australia. Planning to move from the UK to brisbane to be with my bf and the heat is going to hit me hard! (ps. Thank u for all your Australia travel guide videos!)
Oof!! It’s going to be an adjustment period - when are you moving? Hopefully you can arrive in the cooler months and ease into summer!! My survival tips would be: drink lots of water, avoid going out and doing stuff in the middle of the day until you acclimatise, don’t rely too much on aircon (or you won’t acclimatise) and wear nice, loose clothing where possible!
Ashen I agree with all L.G.B. have said. It depends on your body type (some people just naturally love heat and hate cold... skinny people for one) I do struggle with summer but the other 9 months I am fine. My brother married a London girl and all her family is now over here and are mostly fine with it. The kids live in the pool. Stay active and make summer fun. If all else fails have air conditioners but yes as Phoebie or Matt said try to use A/c only when it's unbearable to acclimatize. Enjoy. - Winters or lack thereof, are wonderful
I recall my late Mother telling me that her Aunt and Uncle (Millie & Harry King), used to drive up every year from Melbourne to holiday in Caloundra, from the late 1920s onwards!!! RjB
This happened to us yesterday trying to go to The Pocket at Moffat Beach!! I used to do deliveries there and knew it was a great spot but they are having a staff holiday for a week! 🤣 annnnd today, it’s raining 🥴 hey ho! Off to Buderim anyway ✌🏼
Hahahaha thank goodness it happened to someone else too!! We set off on a road trip this morning and I could hear it raining all night. Thank god it cleared up!! P xx
@@travelforphoebe we had a wonderful little adventure up to Buderim and Serenity Falls. Found a lush cafe up there too called Cafe Vie, have you been?? The weather cleared up while we were lounging at the cafe and our waterfall was perfect!
On behalf of the Copper Spoon staff team, we thank you so much for visiting us! We’re so glad you enjoyed the food and atmosphere, hope to see you again! 😁🤍

I'm a Canadian who just came back from a trip to Australia. We spent some time in Caloundra, and I absolutely love that town!! I would move there in an instant if I could. Such an amazing place, I just love it! We stayed right on Kings Beach. We were in Australia for the month of July, so it was rainy many days, but it's their winter so you have to expect that. I can't wait to go back. I've been back in Canada for a few weeks now and here I am watching video's of Caloundra. This was a trip we planned for 2020, but it got cancelled and postponed due to covid. I'm glad it finally happened and I can't say enough good things...I really fell in love with that place.
Oh wow!! I bet you enjoyed living there - such a beautiful town :) We just visited again last week and there are so many new food spots!! You'll have to visit again to try them all out :) Phoebe x
Haha just got back from our daily morning walk to see your opening scene where you are standing exactly where we were an hour ago in Mooloolaba!. How good is Rice Boi? One of our local favourites.
Hands up for more Matt vlog time! I feel like this was a total recap of a weekend away we had there recently...we dined at the Mooloolaba wharf, went to Bullcock beach, dined at California taco's, etc etc lol. Thanks for another banger guys! Always makes me smile watching these and super super inspiring to get out there and explore :)
Hallo l am appreciate this episode so much is it great amazing very beautiful places to see as all when you walking a long the road is look like fairy move on land so incredible sense of this never see as easy before l like and enjoy it as well great thanks for you .
I've seen hangry people a lot while traveling. The clue is to bring them comfort food 😉. So the sunshine coast is now a little grey box instead of the usual sunshine, do you see the irony 😝? I remember the Aussies as hard in taking measures but soft in maintaining them, apparently the same goes for your drunk friend 🤪. The beach looks great, especially the rocks, and it's not too crowded. I tend to like the places locals love. Oh my gosh, that taco at the end looks way too good😍! Thanks for sharing your experience in Caloundra and have a great week 🤙!
I try my best Felix 😂 she’s pretty scary when hangry. I think you’d love Caloundra, it does get busy in peak times but there’s plenty of beach space. Thanks for watching Felix! Have a great week. Matt.
