I love you ladies so much. My best friend and I are in our 40s and just started our adventuring time together in the last few years. We plan to hike the Oregon portion of the pct in 2023. My dad was a lover of the outdoors , hiking and camping. He died of covid this year at 67. And watching you let’s me know I can forever adventure and make him proud till my feet will not carry me any longer. You are inspiring.

The trail is very gentle and has great views. With you all starting the flip flop and heading north is the first I followed anybody. Interesting to see what you show that other people do. Thank you fir sharing. 👍👍
I have followed quite a few PCT hikers over the years, but there is so much to see and such a vast array of different landscapes and terrain, that it like watching a totally different trail every time....I have heard that the PCT is an easier trail as far as actual hiking goes, (i guess that one is an individual thing..lol) but the weather conditions and logistics between towns and water supplies is what makes it hard, because you are dealing with extreme heat, snow, high rivers and streams because of snow melt, fire closures that makes you have to hike a really smart hike...(but what do i know, I could be totally wrong...because i've never been on the pct...and i'm just rowing along on my concept2 here in my living room as you guys are actually doing it...😂😂)I know you guys will do great and finish your triple crown, because you guys have what really counts...love of the nature, and a strong mental toughness that keeps you going when others may say it's too much or too painful....can't wait for your next video

Looks far more pleasant than tbe other 2 thru hikes. You got me all excited, my husband and I are retired and heading out to California in September for the winter to hike and enjoy all the NP and Nat. Forests, I cannot wait! So wonderful that I shared twice and watched three times 😂 I live in Quincy and our local bus goes to Chester. I am 58 and have done much camping here but never walked the PCT. I'm doing it next week but plan on taking my time to fish, explore, do some bushcraft projects and relax. I have a Haven tent hammock ❤️🌄🏕️

I grew up going to Drakesbad in Warner Valley each summer...so lucky! Boiling Springs Lake...loved it...I used to make clay pots from the clay on the lakebed! Loved seeing the valley too! My dad made a willow bark water wheel each summer to put in the brook in the valley!

Lassen is so cool and that part of Lassen is not even the prettiest part. I’ve been on that section of the PCT. it’s pretty beautiful. Great way to start your pct adventure. Wise to stay at the campground with the bear vaults cuz there are bears there. A tip for Oregon is make sure you have your mosquito netting for your head snd bug spray. I grew up there snd between the mosquitos and the gnats they will make you crazy. Also in WA snd parts of OR beware of the shrewd snd nice that will chew through your backpack snd tent if they smell food. Get the food bags you can hang that are hard for them to chew through and try not to leave your backpacks on the ground outside the tent. That burn area is about 10 years old. That area doesn’t grow back fast, especially because of the droughts lately. But Lassen is so pretty that it’s nice to see her.

Just finished Benton MacKaye Trail and had a bear crash my tent in on me 3 days before finishing. Had to borrow one to finish. On to my last 300 of AT in the Whites after a rest. Glad to see you starting. I will enjoy following you on my rest and recovery.

Ladies!! This is SO incredibly exciting! I adore you all and love watching the prep and now the first days on the trail. I also live in the Springs and just turned 50. I had myself convinced I could never do something like you gals are doing...but now I know that isn't the case. You've inspired me to dive deeper into the hiking world...I currently walk/hike 7 miles a day with my pup but I can do more with training. I can't wait to watch more of your journey - stay safe and healthy and bring us all along!
This area looks so incredible ! Such diversity and beauty around each corner. Good trail builders view trail building as an art as they treat the landscape like a sculpture and desire to create wonder around each corner, not revealing too much, but just enough to place a desire in ones heart to pursue the next turn. Our small woodlands association has a trail builder who has helped build multiple trails all over the US, including some of the PCT. He introduced us to trial building and enlightened us about the process. What a wonderful start to your journey. Sending positive thoughts and prayers from your Oregon Buddy!
Beautiful snow flowers, large pine cones and amazing views. You wander women look so happy and so naturally at home on the trail. I wish I could hike with you all I feel like I would have so much to learn!!!
Watching this couldn't help thinking about your start to the CDT in Wyoming. When you mentioned it I just nodded my head and laughed. You showed one fallen tree on the PCT trail. Were there more? On the CDT it seemed like you spent all day climbing over them. Those encouragements at the end of your videos are much appreciated, and taken to heart. Wish I was there.
My daughter and I also call ourselves Wander Women on a private Facebook group page. We started it in 2018 so friends and family could keep up with our hiking exploits real time while out on the trail. Little did I know at the time there were other Wonder Women hiking around. Anyway, we're about to hit the CT next week. I've been following y'all for about two years. I'll miss your updates for the next 5 or 6 weeks. But happy trails to y'all.
Yeah you get spoiled I imagine with water caches right on the CDT looks like in your CDT videos. Having to trek .3 to a water source is like being back on the AT I imagine. Wish I was hiking this season! Keep it up!!
So, who told the Bears that they weren't allowed outside of the park? Lol, was just at La Pine SP and also Diamond Lake and Crater Lake, and Mt Hood hiking and biking. Love love love Oregon, know you will too. Now headed to LAVA Bed Natl Monument tomorrow, getting good cell service to pick up your new adventure. Glad to see you on the move again.

I have been quietly watching your adventures for about 2 years now . I always look forward to your next video and next adventure. You are such an encouragement for living life full of challenges, growth and experiences no matter your age . Keep moving forward in life to the best of our own personal ability. I volunteer with a group called Pass to Pass, (passtopass.org), in which we support and encourage those living with Parkinson’s disease to backpack portions of the PCT in Washington and Oregon. We go on trips that are each 5 nights long. We have llamas with us to carry most of the Parkies , (those living with Parkinson’s), gear. You will be entering my area at the end of your Washington hike. I live near the North Cascades. I would absolutely love to support you in some way! Maybe pick you up at Harts Pass if you are planning to backtrack to Harts Pass rather than entering Canada? Timing could be the tricky part. I finish my last hike for the season with PtP on August 16th.
So happy for the start of this journey. Beautiful scenery already and great mileage. I used my umbrella for the first time in April on the AT in Georgia. I was surprised how much it helped with the heat. Thanks for all you do. Enjoy your hike.
