Me: May as well get into a new musical as I work, Me: *calmly working while listening* “Ain’t nothin’ I can’t do with a gun!” Me: *drops pencil* _b e a u t i f u l_
I wanna be her, I wanna be her, singing on stage like Laura. I'll be ready, I'll be ready when I switch to like Laura. Can't you see me staring in a Broadway musical like Laura Osnes. Like Laura Osnes. I really really want to be a Broadway actress. It takes hard work but never give up on your dreams. Just hope I don't end up a criminal
What REALLY got me about this, which is funny, is that one kid is singing about becoming an actress and all these amazing things that would be out of reach. Then, we have a kid who wants to become an outlaw.
The dreams of children in the early 1900s: “Wear Sunday clothes on a Tuesday” “Date a guy who owns a jazz bar” “Make 30 dollars a week” Dream big like these two👍😂
Oh my god I didn't realize until a week after becoming obsessed with Bonnie and Clyde that the second bang bang at the end is a cute little whisper oh my OH MY *whispers* Bang, bang
Back then, people had special clothes to wear to church on Sunday. If you were poor, that's the only nice clothes you had. Hence, the term "Sunday's best" has come to refer to someone's best clothes. If you could wear your Sunday's best throughout the week, then you were well-off. Clyde's family was destitute (i.e. living under a wagon in a squatters camp), so they didn't have much in the way of nice clothes. But Clyde hated poverty and looking like it, so part of the appeal of petty theft (at first) was the fact that he could buy nice duds for himself and others with the money he stole or acquired from stolen goods. Sometimes he would have a job with meager wages and he would supplement his income with thieving. Anyway, that's not a stupid line. Clyde is really saying he wishes he could dress nicely every day of the week, at the same time making a reference to one's Sunday's best.
0:00 NOSTALGIA I played Little Bonnie like three years ago. I'm re-listening to this musical and I forgot how much I love it! It's SO GOOD!!! Also Jeremy Jordan is a god. It had to be said.

Laura Spark I read that fact! I love to learn about old criminals- like did you know Al Capone was responsible for the expirations on milk after someone he knew got sick from drinking expired milk. I read it, but I’m not sure if it’s quite true.

Claire Samuels` I got real confused at first because i saw my name and I didn’t know her as an actress and I was like.. when did I star in an amazing musical with Jeremy Jordan... 😂😂😂
" Marvin Ivan Barrow, Clyde Chestnut Barrow ... You both have found guilty on one count on Burglary and two counts for Mortal Theft you both have to be in Service assist TWO YEARS!!!, in the McClain country Jail" I'm just following what comes next for this part... but I'll be honest with this confession: I have to Slow the original audio on this part for the quote from the Dialogue parts of the judge, because in the original speed is too fast for me and I cannot understand so much of what he said also with the accent 😅
Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger, Billy the Kid, Jesse James, Leif Ericsson, Blackbeard, Geronimo, and Robin Hood, all prime examples of both heroes and villains at the same time!
I wanna be be her I wanna be her dressed in style like Laura. I can see me, can you see me? The main attraction at the picture show like Laura Osnes! 😍😍
I got obsessed with this musical a few days ago and I just found out that a guy that was in my class last years' last name is capone, what a fucking coincidence
ok so i came into this not knowing that Jeremy Jordan was in it. i heard this song and loved it. i heard Jeremy sing and i just though: THATS JACK KELLY.
Uh, I don't mean to be rude, but no you don't. They always lived on the run from the police, often sleeping outside or in their cars. Both of them were crippled in one way or another, Bonnie having one of her legs so badly burned by a car accident (Clyde's fault), that she couldn't walk on her own and sometimes had to be carried everywhere. Clyde cut off 2 toes to get out of an inhumane jail (only to be released soon after) and walked with a noticeable limp for the rest of his life. I could list more reasons but I won't. Their life was very unglamorous and was romanticized both in the musical and the 1967 movie (not sure about the others. I love them both though.) 🙂
