Well David cole was from my neighborhood and he played at the local bar called shangrila on Passaic street in Passaic New Jersey, I would stand outside the bar to young to get in (18 not that young but yet not legal) and listen to him turn out the turntables and then later on he became a success with this and then C&C music factory RIP David

I was only 18 yrs. old... I worked at Emerald City in the Coat Check room. Were you there on the night of the big shooting (in the front of the club)? THAT was crazy! I heard there always used to be gun activity (in the club, too) before it turned into E.C. (it was called The Red Parrot). I met lots of girls doing that job, but one in particular was special; we ended up having a serious relationship for about 5 yrs. after meeting at E.C. I miss her to death -- Fond memories, Monique.
