i'm with you. you feel like a hedgehog and have to trim it down all the time xD and for contrast i have long & thick hair on top so it can get pretty awkward unless i keep the sides tight!
+Diogo if you hair is fine like mine either grow it out slightly longer on the side (more of a classic cut) and ise good prestylers (just experiment to find a good one) or if it is thick try a shorter sides with a low clipper but you have to get cuts very consistently...alternative: learn to cut your own sides to maintain and go to barber as per a normal person would....try to get volume and thickening shampoo is your friend
Dude. Not everyone is born with a head shape or thick hair that just holds shape the moment you comb it out of the shower. You lucked out in that field of genetics.

Take biotin, shampoo twice a week max, use conditioner 3-4 times a week, don't be too rough with your hair, wear hats and helmets less etc. You can also get an oil scalp massage once a week if you want. After following this, not only will you stop a receding hairline, you might also grow it back slowly. I've stayed at a Norwood 1 my whole life with these tips, and it's definitely not due to genetics.
lol im hispanic and all i do when i get a fade (usually i keep my bieber hair from fall to spring) like him is just use putty or gel and then hair dry it and it looks like his.
So glad I found this, never really known what to do with my hair and always made a mess of it so just had it cut short instead of bothering with it. Didn’t realise it could be done so quick too! Thank you, my hairs still pretty short but thick enough to work with, letting it grow now so I can get closer to your look.

But watching how you just use your hand to style your hair has been helpful. It would be helpful for some of the styling techniques to go in slow motion.

Even just after one use, not only did the amount of flakes get exponentially lower (next to nonexistent), but my hair feels absolutely freaking amazing. Smells like a weird minty leather, but I actually kind of like it haha
Alpha actually has a video somewhere where he says American Crew fiber is the best. I've been using it since then and I love it. Might give this stuff a try though.
Here's a tutorial/guide idea that I'm desperate for: how to describe to your barber/hairstylist how you want your hair to look. I'm honestly fairly clueless about how "taking an inch off the top" would affect the way my hair looks, and I never know the proper terms to describe what I want (in the rare cases that I know for sure what look I'd want).
I used to do gel every day, but then i realized its bad and then i started using blowdryer super hot air every day until my locks bent naturally now i don’t use any product at all cuz i have naturally bendy and wavy hair.
I have a hairstyle that fits me well and looks awesome with or without product but it's short and there's no problem with it being short but there is with the growth of my hair. I think I can shave my entire head clean and my hair would fully come back in 2/3 weeks maybe even less. My hair grows rediculously fast. And in order to keep my hair short I'd have to go to the barber every 4/5 days..
Your hair is greasy from shampooing every day. Shampoo strips hair of natural oils which in turn leads to hair overproducing oil. Try shampooing 2-3 times a week, conditioning twice a week, and just using water the other days.

Alpha! Can you PLEASE give some tips for guys with thin hair?? I'm not talking balding and thinning hairlines, but hair that is just very fine and thin. My hair likes to go full on coconut head bowl cut naturally and doesn't have any texture or curls etc unless I use pomade and wax's.

Every time you do this your hair looks 5X's better at the very beginning of the video. Quick ?? that I know you won't answer... I bought that Pete&Pedro putty high hold low shine and I have short hair about a inch on top and a 1/2 to a bald fade and when I put the product into my damp hair ( I do emulsify) I drys sort of hard right away and I can't style it because it's hard Why is this?? Daaaamn, My hair is dry as hell. Just like hay. And whenever I use my blow dryer it's get more dry,and awkward. Or in other cases, I apply the product,then blow dry... I have many little spikes, what looks funky. I'm really in love with your hairstyle. What the hell should I do? I let it grow longer for 2 months. Still not that long, like yours.
