The river was standing at minus 4” on our own gauge, which equates to plus 4” on the SEPA gauge at Ness Side. Water temperature was 12 degrees and air temperature was 14 degrees.
Niel’s winning fly was a #6 Durris Shrimp double, fished off a floating line with a 10’ intermediate poly tip and a 15lb tippet.
Once again, covering the pool was key to success.
