My fishing pal just sent me this. I'm sat in work absolutely bored to tears. I'm all fired up now and ready to fish again after watching this. There's not a truer word spoken when he says he looks forward to the season ending and then can't wait for it to start again! The misery and pain we all put ourselves through but we wouldn't change a thing. I'll definitely be picking up your book. Many thanks.

Brilliant film. I salmon fish on the Ribble also. I had 4 last season, off to Scotland this weekend and then back to the Ribble next week 👍🎣

Cracking film. Boo is rapidly becoming a hero to me. The yanks might have trout bums, we have salmon boos. I’m going to make a point of watching this on repeat whilst skiving from work. I think Boo and his Lanky posse will approve!!!

Steelheading here in the PNW is exactly the same. I tell my friends that are trying to get into it you can’t dabble in steeleading, you must be fully committed and obsessed to become successful. This is my favorite part of it all. It’s not for everyone and I like it that way.

You really caught me! Beautiful film. The real goal of "salmon fishing"; sense of beauty, aesthetic and, most of all, nature respect. I'm obsessed too from the early 1981. My first scots leaper. Hope to find your book into italian language, maybe I'll find some answers too. Or not? Thanks

I invited him to join us on the Junction Pool on the Tweed, he drove up from Nelson early am I think is where he lived and within ten minutes he had a fish in the net!
