It would be great to see if these guys do move to injected or turbo model Rotex engines. I believe it would not take much modification to the existing aircraft. It would bring additional performance and efficiency to an already quick and efficient aircraft and would be good in hot and high operations. Great, informative video and really amazing aircraft! There is a 19 lbs difference between the Rotax 912 and the 914. So it's a big difference in weight for such a small plane. They would have to redesign/reconfigure it for sure.
They are currently installing an edge performance modified Rotax which is turbocharged. The Edge performance engines are a little lighter than the factory Rotax engines.
Doing my PPL right now, I intend to buy a Shark Aero once I finish my license to build hours for my CPL, I want to use it to fly myself and my other half to places like France and Spain and British islands, As well as just have some fun in the mountains low level flying.

that is one tasty looking and performing piece of kit .The autopilot engage was easy. safe hands extra aerobatic pilot . amazingly slippery, 170 mph is knocking the spots off a 172.Cessna . A quality product . CZ gliders and aeroplanes rank up there with the very best . I guess it has a ballistic parachute .. I recall a parachute being mentioned .
Forget the world speed records .. things go wrong exceedingly quickly at silly speeds . 150 mph and 1000 mile range is super special . stay away from the Bold would be pilots .. I sold my F3 racing car to a wannabe racing driver .. he wrote it off in Practice for his first race at Oulton Park UK.. My wife Jane set a ladies FTD at the IOM hillclimb and I set Outright FTD on our first ever entry for the Hillberry IOM hill climb .2 - 1/4 miles uphill in 76 seconds from a standing start . Good memories . a great little car .very forgiving but not idiot proof.
Regarding USA, upcoming mosaic rules might allow it without any changes but otherwise it could be certified for part 23, no need to conform to LSA. I believe FAA has shifted towards being quite reasonable about certification. They say they shift from a documentation to performance practice. So basically if you have demonstrated that it works well for a long time and you have good production discipline they'll allow it.
Nice. But 350kg seems relatively heavy when I would think a tandem could be the lightest configuration. How about making it much lighter and give it a skinnier wing for the 915. The lighter it is the lower the stall can be. And the skinnier the wing the less body blend is needed. The less drag the wing has the faster it can go and the faster it can go the less wing it needs. the less wing the lighter the plane can be and so it needs even less wing. Time for a Shark 2?
maybe a wing without flaps. it's maybe half a second more on the break to land without flaps and lightens the plane further and makes it easier to build.

Хороший, информационно насыщенный ролик. Может я где то упустил, но не услышал снаряжённую массу. И вопрос: зачем двум русским людям разговаривать меж собой на англ??? И ладно автор ролика говорит почти как носитель, но от произношения инженера кровь ушами. Ролик, минут на 10 был бы короче, общаясь вы на русском))) И учитывая, что название ролика на англ, то смею предположить, что ролик для русскоязычной аудитории. Короч, не понятно..

А как же не уместность выпуска мирных видео в это тяжёлое время? Или на английском ок? А платить налоги государству, которое единственное в мире применяло ЯО, убило миллионы во Вьетнаме, вторгались по всему миру и уничтожало суверенные государства, спонсирует войну(а возможно и является заказчиком сво) и т д, а это только из доказанного, а так же не надо забывать о том как они закапывали ядерные отходы в Ираке и Сербии. Или это другое? Я не обижусь что ты удалишь коммент, если прочитаешь его, как авиатор ты клёвый чел, но зачем ты лезешь в политику и используешь двойные стандарты? Самому то норм? У меня все ок с системой ценностей, мне пох на Америку и ее действия, результатом которых НЕ СТАЛ захват земель и территорий в других странах. Террористов поубивали, уменьшили международные угрозы, явных военных преступлений не совершали. Я в Америке не родился, и Корней у меня тут нет. Налоги я плачу той стране; которой я доверяю и которая защищает меня и мои интересы хоть в какой-то степени. Хотя в моем идеале не платить налоги нигде и не привязывать себя к государству в принципе. Место проживания и государство не одно и то же. Так что у меня все в порядке: зачем я куда то лезу - не твоё дело в принципе. Смотри в свою песочницу и не диктуй как жить другим. Этот же совет могу дать и всем твоим землякам.
