What a great way to practice brush strokes. I often have leftover paint from my project and this would be such a fun way to used it up. Thank you for your this.
I have been waiting for a tutorial like this! The explanations and organization of the strokes, hand position, color choices, and brushes to use was so helpful and I ended up with a beautiful addition to my sketchbook. I took my time and took two days with each page. Thank you!
I’m so glad you enjoyed this project! It’s a great sketchbook exercise to come back to whenever you want to relax. Also, great when you get new paint colors or brushes you want to try out.
Thank you very much🤗! What a fabulous video. After losing the use of my dominant hand, I’m still learning to paint as a lefty. These art pieces are absolutely perfect 👍🏻.
I had a great time painting these patterns. It was great having instructions to help me think about using the right brush for the right line/shape since my tendency is to blunder along with the same brush, not thinking, then making a mess. It was a fun "exercise."
This is a wonderful way to practice how versatile our brushes can be! My favourite is the row of triangles with dots inside! It looks so much like hand-stitching, so gorgeous!❤
I’m sorry for such a dumb question, but after downloading your patterns, do you print the pattern on your water color paper with a printer? Can you erase any ink from the printer that’s showing? If I don’t have a printer, can I trace it with carbon paper? Thank you. I’m really enjoying your videos.
I recommend using a light table or a window to trace the designs on to your watercolor paper. Trace lightly with pencil. You can use carbon paper, but it may leave additional graphite marks on your paper. Erase those and lighten the graphite with a kneaded eraser before painting. If the pencil line is too dark it will show through the watercolor.
