I use to work for Avery Dennison doing graphics for NFL, Disney, World Cup Soccer, Foot Locker, Adidas and so on. We did the art for heat transfers and the biggest thing I hated about them is the feel of them on a shirt. It feels like a piece of plastic on the shirt and the bigger the design the worse it feels. Plus most people do not go by care instructions and if you dry them too hot then it will wrinkle like crazy and good luck getting it smooth again. If too high of heat you have the possibility of your design coming off since heat sticks it on and heat can take it off. I much prefer the DTG if I could afford it, but at the moment I am only able to do screen print and embroidery.
DTF is out now. It harnesses white toner and some DTG properties by printing a reverse white layer on top of the design to a film, and using polyurethane adhesive to bond the ink to the shirt. Can be used for a lot more substrates too.

Hi I know you guys don’t have a Lot videos on how to operate a 6 head embroidery machine so I was hoping you guys can upload more videos on how to do that.
Hello, I love your video.Could you please tell me if I can use any colored white toner laser printer and the ink that comes with it, or do I need special ink?
This is the transfer paper we recommend: shop.ricoma.com/products/2-step-transfer-adhesive-media-kit-for-light-dark-textiles?_pos=1&_sid=7f123b1bc&_ss=r
Hi I bought Luminaris but every t-shirt I made after the first wash the print looks so bad like destroyed, why is this happening when I'm doing the same steps as you? I couldn't sell any t-shirt because of this.
When you said 40 washes what did you mean by that? Cause my common sense was saying after you wear it 40 times and washing it each time after it's worn the print will start fading or braking down?
Thank you for your interest in our machines! Make sure you fill out this form and the correct Ricoma distributor in your region will be in contact with you as soon as possible -> ricoma.com/US/contact-us
Hi there! Instead of using lines as a vector file, rasterizing adds little dots (pixels) to the image which makes it easy for the printer to follow basic shapes and boundaries.
Hi Hilary, thanks so much for watching. You will need a screen printer to screen print shirts or other garments. You can learn more about the process in this blog > blog.ricoma.com/2021/06/04/printing-method-comparison/
I'm a little bit cofussed here . I like to know does this heat press mechine is only for polyester tshirts or they can be used also for cotton t-shirt s also please reply
The heat transfer method can be used to decorate many soft substrates such as garments and accessories of various materials, including cotton, polyester and more. It is also capable of decorating hard substrates such as ceramic, metal, wood and more.
Compared with HTV, DTF can print finer lines and will not be deformed after high temperature heat transfer. The effect after transfer is smooth, with good elasticity, stretch resistance and good washing effect. In summary, HTV and DTF are different in terms of production process, color, effect, and texture.

Hi there, thanks so much for watching. It really depends on your business needs. The DTG printer is more of an initial investment but it is more of a streamlined process, which makes it better for bulk orders. 2-step heat transfer with the Luminaris 200 White Toner Transfer Printer is less expensive but us more labor-intensive than DTG, making it more suited for one-off orders. Hope this helps!
