Do you hold foot brake, WOT with rpm's holding at 1200, let off brake to launch? If yes. Why do you prefer releasing the brake to launch over a traditional transbrake button. I am thinking a thumb button would be a faster more accurate release. I know in a transbrake equipped car your foot is off the brake when you are on the 2-step so brake pedal is not used as a trigger switch. I don't think you would have to time button release with brake pedal release. I think coming off the button at wide open throttle your car would react with enough excitement that your foot would know it is go time and be off the pedal ahead of tire rotation. The button should be best for consistent and quicker reaction times. I am going to put a 2-step on my car. I am asking for a reason why i should not use a button on shifter for trigger.
