I have a 4-53T in my 76 Ford, I'm loven it. I have to admit that 3-71 sounds a lot different than I expected, it must be from the supercharger. Back in the early 70's my dad drove a 1968 International COE4000 hauling grain from north central North Dakota to Duluth MN. When I was 6-7years old I loved skipping school and go for a 2 day ride.

Have you considered a turbo? Diesel brothers did two 471s with HX35 turbos on them. Made lots of power and ran pretty smooth.

those -71 motors are pretty friggin tall, can you do a walkaround video? I'd always shied away from them because of how far they'd stick outta the hood
