The day for the launch had arrived. The weather was mild, the winds were calm and the level of sunlight was just perfect. The recovery system failed to deploy on my first launch due to what I suspect to be my mistake in packing the wadding, parachute and cord in the night before the launch. Presumably this approach had allowed the stuff to expand and get stuck against the rocket body itself. Thankfully though the rocket landed unscratched thanks to the thick layer of green grass on this field.
The best part of the launch is having the company of my good buddy who also filmed the launch and helped track where the parts went afterwards.
