Preparation of the main body and associated parts. Lots of sanding and a bit of putty work was needed to get it all ready for painting. This is probably the most import stage of modeling. Taking your time here and getting all the parts setup now pays in dividends down the line.

Hi. I've just started to build my kit & was following the instruction numbers. I paused the build to follow your videos. This one (No.2) is very interesting. I may be lucky, but I don't have any of the 'gap' issues you have. Yes, there's a 'step' at the gap area, but that's all. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be ordering more putty, lol!

Hi Steve...I probably didn't explain that good in the video - but for me the gap issue started when I installed C11 and C10 body panels...best to test fit with those body panels if you can...it was a very tight fit which forced the two halves of the chassis to separate. I am so pumped I found this channel! I have had this kit sitting in the box for 10 plus years. This is going to be such a help for me as I have always been concerned I am too much of a novice for this kit. I usually do 1/24 type sports cars so this is a stretch. I think I will move along with you.

Hey Brad M, Thanks for your comment. I find the 1/12th scale model kits more rewarding to be honest. Might be a bit more time and work (and paint!) but looks great on your shelf when done. Keep in mind its still made from the same materials as the 1/24th kits so I think you will have a lot of fun with it! At this stage, I would suggest you take a look at the condition of your decals, they can age and degrade a bit. They might need extra care when you put them on. If they are really bad you might be able to snatch up a decal sheet. (Shunko models come to mind) Anyway do fell free to send pics of your progress to me via my telegram site. I finished this model a few months back. Took some time especially the painting of the bodywork. When assembling the turbos and the inlet and exhaust piping on each side of the engine I had the lower bodywork in place to ensure the turbos fitted within it.

Im building this and i found some photos of that part and the gap shouldn't be there but luckily you cant see it that much when finished because of wheels and other things cluttering up the view

This should be an re-issued RE20. My first built was around when I attending secondary school (some 40 years ago), and I remembered the body parts are in yellow plastic. Then I had kept some but was later sold, the most recent one was acquired over 10 years ago, but lost it few year back then due to relocation.
