This fall my son had sone issue with accuracy with throws from SS and 3B. Your video broke down the entire throwing motion so well. We will work on his throwing motion this winter. Thanks for posting your instructional videos. They are great!!
Thanks so much. This was super helpful (as all your content is) for coaching up my 11 and 9 y/o softballers. It's tough to articulate HOW to do skills that I seem to have learned hundreds of years ago lol. Keep churning out the great content!
Thanks again! I just started with softball after a 15 year downtime of baseball and finally I learned the proper techniques from you. I throw and hit better now then I ever did, and I’m 40+ :).
@@MegRemSoftball i have a problem with pitching, some times i cant control where the ball goes, what are some things that i can do to be better at pitching? Also i love your videos i watch them all the time
I really needed this video because I always drop my emblow and throw somewhat side armed. And for some reason my elbow will hurt of I throw hard enough, but I think it's because I have my elbow dropped so far
I coach 10u travel ball boys and my son can throw 50-55 tops and he wants to drop his elbow and it’ll also hurt from time to time we’ve got a couple boys that throw 60 plus one throws 65 and is almost a month younger than my son he’s a beast and I’m not talking about my son he’s really really good js we’ve got a couple that’s really great
Question here on something i see talked about in baseball but not as much in softball. In your U shape, so do worry much or instruct about scap loading? I have seen some that swear by its importance for power, and others that think forcing it messes with mechanics
Hi Meg! Thanks for your help! I start to practice softball and watch your vids, i saw when its on slow motion your arm is going back before throwing after the L position, im usually throwing just after L position should i try also to load my arm back for a better throw? Sorry it's hard to explain 😅
I have a question on ball grip. I hear about having your fingers across a seam and thumb on bottom. How do you get into that exact position quickly when fielding the ball and trying to get the throw off quickly?
One thing I did as a kid (and now have my daughters do) is just toss the ball to myself and practice grabbing the ball across a C over and over and over. This is something you can pretty much do wherever and whenever such as sitting on the couch watching tv, waiting in line somewhere, etc. The great thing about the ball is that there are C grips all over the ball pretty much any way you grab it and keep in mind that it doesnt matter if you grab it on the C or a backwards C, its all the same. After a while of doing this youll just grab the ball across a C all the time without even looking at it.
