😢💔💔As a swim instructor/lifeguard i beg all parents of young children to PLEASE get your babies into swimming lessons. This is Truly HEART WRENCHING!!! 😭😭
Sounds like the father was home "babysitting" and the mother wasn't home. Might as well get the divorce papers ready as well. She'll never forgive him!
@@bobbriggs9748 Well if I had a pool that didn't have a fence around it. Id be worried at all times were my toddlers were inside my house or outside with me! You can't take your eyes off your toddlers when there's a inground or above ground. Especially if there wasn't a fence and a gate to lock the inground! How horrible!! 😭
@@sabrinasimpson2830making excuses for negligence. In any scenario? Well what about those that leave their kids unattended in cars on hot days, kids left unattended with dogs, in this case a unfenced pool with small children
@@paulettebarrow9791 What a ridiculous comment! Of course "things happen" to people all the time but BAD things can EASILY happen if parents fail to watch very young children who have access to a pool.
@@ohreally8929 Your giving advice to the wrong person I know personally what can happen when parents arent paying attention but, theres different reasons why parents werent paying attention at the time, now if a parents was drunk on drugs and thats why then blame parents need to find out why. It only takes one min for something tragic happens. We are not all seeing and accidents happen. The Question is why? Not everyone is guilty of wrong doing
The parents should be investigated and charged...were they on their computer or phones? Whatever they were doing, it wasn't supervising those poor babies.
I am certain the grief the parents are experiencing is overwhelming & will last a lifetime. We should show compassion & not assume something we cannot possibly know. The parents will pay for this the rest of their lives & it will haunt them. We can learn 2 lessons here, compassion is one & never leave a child unattended. They are curious & fast. A recipe for disaster.
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU ‼️💯WE NEED TO START HOLDING THE PARENTS ACCOUNTABLE FROM NOW ON!! NO EXCUSES‼️💯🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻MAYBE, just MAYBE 🤔 PARENTS WILL START TO WAKE UP and DO THEIR ‘FREAKING’ JOB‼️🙏🤬🙄🤦♀️🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬🫵🏻🤬
where i am you have to have a pool barrier fence even if no small children live in the home. we have leash laws but most ignore it and rarely get sited.
I'm an American, living in Charlotte, NC. Pools must be fenced off, and dogs must be leashed, and we have no problems here with compliance. This father in Arizona is probably going to face charges for allowing small children access to a pool, unsupervised. I feel sure that that is illegal everywhere in the USA.
@jillr759 yes they do. They stop children getting near the water. A proper pool fence has a child proof lock, no foot holes and is required by law to have nothing climbable around it. Might be a bit ahead of american technology but they do exist in first world countries and work.
How is it possible not to know where not one but two three year old kids were. How? Two out of a parents sight for god knows how long. Something is very, very wrong here.
If you have young children and a pool you need to make sure to have a fence with a locked gate and/or a alarm installed. Most child drownings in home pools could be prevented with these safety measures.
@@jillr759But better to have those safety layers in place than not ON TOP of swimming lessons for toddlers. For us, we simply refused to have a home with a pool when our four kids were little.
I'm a twin and this breaks my heart that they died a death that was completely preventable, but I glad these twinnies will be together forever. Accidental or not people should always be charged when a child dies from drowning.
Always be charged? You have no idea what happened to these poor parents that cause them to not know where their toddlers were for the two seconds it took for them to disappear and drown. How heartless, you must not have kids because as a parent to 5 kids my heart aches for them knowing my toddlers have run off on me using the bathroom before and gave me a heart attack. SMH
@@kyleegarcia5569 I know that two children died a death that was 100% preventable. I don't care how long it takes for kids to disappear. If you have a pool at your home, it needs to be surrounded by a fence that impenetrable and with an alarm that sounds when they get near the pool. No, I am not heartless, I am sickened that their parents, who knew there is a pool at that house, did nothing to COMPLETELY PREVENT, not one child from drowning, but TWO!!!! Inexcusable! This is happening far too often to allow parents to not face charges. Parent's sole responsibility when they have children it to make sure their kids reach adulthood. If they are incapable of doing that and make nothing but lame excuses, then they should not have children.
Iam so sorry for these children.... it is so devastating and heartbrakeing... My condioences to the familys ... they will be so broken not to have installed enough safety messures.... So sad.... l woner how/if they will be held accountable....
Those poor twin baby girls! 😢💔 My heart goes out to their parents and loved ones. This is why we refused to have a home with a pool when our kids were little ones.
We were the same way...we figured we could always put in a pool later, or go buy a different home with a pool...we knew it was not worth the risk. We also did swim lessons at an early age.
I agree, if they are normal parents they will be crushed and destroyed for the rest of their lives. I doubt their marriage will survive. it is unbelievably tragic, I wish they would have had a safety fence, and alarms....this can happen in moments. My cousin drowned at 8 years old in a community pool with 2 lifeguards present after swim lessons. her mother had a catatonic depression and was never the same.
…absolutely… not the time for ‘shoulda, woulda, coulda’. The family will have the rest of their lives blaming themselves…. Lord please bring comfort, and compassion somehow in this situation!!
If no fence, at the very least an alarm on that back door or a deadbolt because you do get busy and possibly lose track of time. A mistake she will live with for the rest of her life.
It is still not unusual for child drownings to happen in my country, but it is compulsory for all private pools to be fenced and gated to stringent standards. My sincere condolences to the family.
SOOO SENSELESS!! THE COMPLETE & UTTER STUPIDITY & LACK OF COMMON SENSE DRIVES ME NUTS!!! They can't watch one child, much less two?? You teach your kids to swim ASAP (as soon as they crawl!!!) you put alarms up, barriers up, take turns watching kids, etc.... didn't anyone tell them?? I know this was an accident ƁUT this accident killed 2 precious sisters!!
Was dad watching the girls? You have to keep your eyes on your kids. I thought it was a law that if you have kids, you have to put a fence up around the pool?
At the end of the day, it doesnt matter what any of you think about the why? Or how could they? Where were they? This isnt you or your family or your loss. Until youve lost a child in any scenario, you do not have any room to judge.
I think it’s only human nature to question (if just in your mind) how did this happen. Where was the responsible adult? That’s not judging.Regardless of how we feel, it’s considered negligence.😢
ISR (Infant self-rescue) swim lessons are taught at most YMCAs; my 3 year-old is in it now, and my twins will be when they're older. It's such an incredible program.
It's too bad but I don't know mom should know where their babies are especially little ones they should have a deadbolt walk in the back in the front. They should keep them in the room where they're at and one of those baby circular gate things I don't understand what's wrong with the parent of todayeven when you go to the bathroom and somebody wants them or put them in that circular thing. I just don't know our prayers are with the family. Sorry for the horrible loss. No Phoenix does not have a lot. Phoenix doesn't have this in Phoenix doesn't have that I don't know what
Wasn't the moms fault she was working!!! The dad was the only one home watching the girls but dad could've been asleep when the girls got out even if so the Dad will be charged with negligence!
Ok the fences is a must with little ones. But for me how did they get out and jump in the pool without anybody knowing? Im sorry but really. I never left my kids play in the tub witout me there. Maybe im just a hawk with my girls. Also my girls were in swimnschool at 1 yr old. We didnt have a pool but i dont swim and i wanted my kids to learn asap. They 3 are great swimmers. Im soo very sorry this happened.
So 😢. My daughter was swimming by 3 very well but even so, there should always be a barrier. A few yrs ago a family friend lost their 2.5 yr old in a pool. It only takes a minute or less of losing sight of them near a body of water. Fly high little ones 😢
THIS is what is classed as TOTALLY DISGUSTING PARENTING !! HOW in god's name do you allow 2 toddlers near an unfenced pool and UNSUPERVISED ?!?! I'd be charging the parent/s & a long prison sentence to act as a deterrent !!
When we had our Pool put in we live in Glendale but out by Dysart and Glendale so its different zoning, we HAD to have a pool fence, Backdoor alarms, including windows installed. We have grown Children but, had a 4yr Grandson so we didn't mind. They inspected after we had that done then gave us permits. This should be done with every home that has a pool. Children are curious. Don't take your eyes off them. So Heartbreaking to hear this and I'm sure the Parents are beside themselves. Prayers
When are officials going to pass ordinances for specific fencing for in ground and above ground swimming pools? Other states and towns have them. Why is Arizona so behind on this issue? Come on officials this isn't that hard.
Where were the parents?…Y were those babies that close to pool and no supervision….wtf?? No sympathy for the parents…Those babies are in heaven….the parents….prison time…total neglect
Why in the heck don't parents have their children learn how to float and swim as an infant, toddler and learn CPR!! Bet they're prolife but refuse to take responsibility for their children lives. It's cruel but this happens EVERY summer and we'll hear about more children drowning for at least 4 months!! FYI, kids will give you the answer you want however they are children and can not comprehend that they will drown!! Needs to be a law that anyone that has a pool is required to have their children attend swim classes at 1 yr and older so that they can at least float. Also some kind of motion detection system near the pool!! My sympathy goes to the children for having ignorant parents that didn't teach them to swim or protect them.Edit: also my thoughts and sympathy go to the police, emergency responders, doctors nurses etc that tried to save them but weren't able to. Especially knowing that their deaths were PREVENTABLE!
To assume these were terrible irresponsible parents is ignorant. Accidents happen mistakes happen even to the best of the best parents. We are human and as terrible and devastating as some accidents such as this one it isnt right to just assume it happened because the parents were so terrible and irresponsible. Like if you dont know the facts then dont make judgments on the people who just lost their children. Its hurtful and unnecessary.
Im sorry parents should be charged anytime there is a drowing and two of them twins mind you drowned together the back yard if anyone looked is tiny its mainly just pool in the backyard how could you not know where they were there house aint even that big three year olds are loud i have three toddlers we just bought a home in august i wouldnt even buy a home with a pool because i dont trust my kida near one regardless we had to put a fence covering the entire back yard as well cause beyond our yard is woods i dont trust that either i got lost in my grandparents massive wooded yard they had alot of acreage it just went on and on and on we would like to get a pool when our children are at an appropriate age but at there age now we got a water slide attached with a little kiddie pool and a sprinkler thats good enough for them to play in they love it anyway but anyone who has toddlers and owns a pool that they have no fence and lock in place and arent watching them should be charged absolutely im sorry.
Need a license to drive a car. Need a high school diploma (or higher) to get a job. Need a food handlers card to work with food. But....anyone can have and raise children....I don't get it
This, and many child drownings, was preventable. 😢 The epitome of parenting is supervising your young so that they dont unalive themselves, and your gene pool. No pun intended.
Nope sorry if u have a swimming pool put a gate up come on please it's free here in Arizona a free gate what's the parents fault sorry time and time kids hair drown put a gate up it's common sense I'm sad for them but I don't feel sad for them its kinda like leaving your child in a hot car hear in AZ
