Tobin Health is a Stone Cold Killer. The calm she shows after scoring a goal where as most players are running a victory lap. That's the calm after the kill.
In the first half Tobin goes crazy when Morgan gets her 100th USNWT goal. Tobin screams and kicks the ball hard back into the goal. Not always calm :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EB1Hx6UA3KE.html
*I love the way Meghan Rapinoe reacts when she scores a goal. She's one of the best players the USWNT has had in history. The whole team is magnificent. However, Tobin Heath is in my heart as a player.*
Thanks again for the upload, CJ! Didn't get a chance to see the game and spent the whole day avoiding any sports news just so I could watch it tonight.
The saving grace for the US is that they have so many world class players who have the finishing touch. That is rare to find, and this team is blessed with so many of these types of players. It's by no means a perfect team, far from it. But if the game is wide open, they have a huge advantage.
my boo boo Naeher literally had a freakin ASSIST!!!!! LOLOLOLOL i know i come from the future but does anyone remember when she almost had an assist in USA vs South Korean in Vic tour? =)))
Maybe someone can explain me why i don't see Christen Press name at Uswnt starting lineup nor in substitutes? Also i don't see her when both team entering the stadium but she starts playing in second half.
Thanks @coconut juice x. Pugh comes in for 30 minutes, 2 goals, and gets player of the game great work. 1st half "What was Sonnet thinking!" 2nd half "Sonnet is offensive creator?". Sonnet confuses me. Congrats to Alex Morgan for 100 goal mark, but many more to come. Elle Carpenter(AUS) had the best save of the year so far and isn't even a goal keeper, and Naeher with an assist and she is the goal keeper, but no saves i think. Confused again. Fun match to watch, but we need more work on defense.
Looks to me like Sonnet thinks she plays as a central defender instead of outside back, running behind 2 central defenders instead of tracking out wide player!
Hit the little diamond pointing down rt under the timer clock for the video on the lower right hand side of the video. That will expand all the rest of the info.
nah she was jumping on Sonnet to get on her mark. She got herself stuck in no-mans's-land between her mark and the play. in turn she was covering nothing. the shot was free and it shouldnt have been. there is good angle of it on one of the replays. (no disrespect to Sonnet btw. it happens. but when it does it tends to lead to goals. especially at this lvl)
Goalkeepers really are funny though......if you watch nearly every goal known to man throughout history you will see them do that after every single one. Always acting like it wasn’t their fault.
Soccertz1 Well, it’s the defense’s fault, which means the ENTIRE defense needs to regroup. They start yelling at the defense because it’s not like they have five minutes to stand in a huddle every time the other team gets a chance. They wave their arms and start yelling at their teammates because it’s a quick and easily understandable way of getting the message across.
On Australia's second goal sequence, Horan continuously could not control the ball. Everyone passed to a spot where an Austrialian player was going to be also. Just bad. And defense was slow to get back,
Is this a set play? 27:53 Alex speaks to Mal as she comes in and then that play Mal scores on looks like they planned it a bit. Great play regardless. Alex with the cheeky backheel to Sonnett who dishes it to Mal for the score!
Pretty sure Mal made her debut on the USWNT when she was 17 her first game was against Ireland in 2016 and she scored her first goal in that game as well shes an absolute unit lol
Não existe mistério na seleção Norte americana. O único detalhe é a pecistenca . Elas n desistem . Correm atrás do resoltado até o fim. Joga limpo. Essa é a fórmula do sucesso
hahaha what did Alex Morgan tell Mal kkkkk few seconds later she scores kkkk ... am here again since games have be cancelled for a while neflix doesnt fill in the gap for the game lol
*The female Fox commentator mentioned that most of these Australian players play in the USA soccer professional league. So, they are a product of the USA, not Australia. I'm wondering what the regulation concerning the hiring of foreign players is. There was a time that FIFA allowed European football male teams to hire just 3 foreign players or something like that.*
2 minutes in...AGAIN!...pre strike 8:40, where is Naeher? Out of position! Needlessly favoring the right side. And was caught flat-footed to boot. Why is she NOT standing in the center of her goal??? They need to spike her foot so she stays in position. How about one of those dog tethers you screw into the ground, with a short leash? Naeher, the human Tether ball, ha! Freeze it a 9:36. Great shot of her perspective. What good does that do? How does being a few steps to your right help in any way? She decreased her range 25% before the shot was taken. Well, it does give a good open target for the shooter. The larger the target, the more confidence in the shot. Just standing center makes that shot more difficult as the smaller openings to the edges naturally force wider shots, that miss goal. A garden gnome staked in the center of goal would be more effective.
You cannot play the US at their game. They are an offensive powerhouse. Canada used the old Italian defensive approach, and kept them scoreless in Tokyo. That's about the only hope.
Hmm I think second goal from australia, it caused Alex Morgan couldn't recieve ball from Ertz who try so hurt to clean up the center area. And when Morgan couldn't recieve that, she even didn't try run to get that ball. I know she is a striker but you need to responsible what have you done
I thought the goaltending on both ends in this game was a little weak, but there is no question the US goalie has a serious leg, and if I were her coach I'd suggest she grow more integrated into the offense, in much the same way that the 1974 Dutch national team emo!oyed their goaltender. I'd also insist that when she goes for the ball, commit fully and don't hesitate to pick the damn thing up. A goaltender looks great when their backs play well. The US defense didn't look that cohesive, but during the World Cup, they really did come together. Crystal Dunn, in particular, a forward in the NWSL, was outstanding in 1d1 but the entire defensive group got the job done very well. Naeher proved that she too was equal to the World Cup challenge.
I love all the players , they are all worth millions no doubt. But I have a thing with stupid Jill,(YOU HAVE TO KNOW THRY ARE PLAYING YOU, YOU KEEP SOLO OFF THE FIELD NO INCREASE $ FOR THE PLAYERS
They look like shet for the wc being 2 months away. The defense needs to be SOLID solid because they goal keeper is not as good as years past. They shouldn't run 3 strikers either... it opens them up too much and exposes their defense. They had years to figure this out. At this point I would not be surprised if they lost in the world cup. I WOULD be pleasantly surprised if they did win though...
Again and again and again all the 3 goals are coming from right side and poor Goalie huh what else is new. The solution is there but ye Jill prefers to ignore it . With that pathetic defence and poor goalie you gonna be destroyed in WC for sure. She has to go now !!!!
I felt much more comfortable with Davidson than with Sonnet and Davidson is practically a debutante. It was a sharp well-oiled performance offensively but my money is still on France and I think Naeher will be remembered as the reason. It's not her fault that she wasn't born superhuman but I hope we can find someone who was before the next WC.
