The two approaches gave me different numbers. In my report, TN still has 2 records at the State level - one for "Sales and Use Tax" and one for "State Single Article Tax" under Tax_Type. Looks like we definitely need the total_tax_collected_by_amazon filter as non-blank? in addition to non-blank, what should we do with tax collected as 0 (not blank)? It does create different results too. Thanks for all the great videos!

Thanks so much for this helpful information! When I ran the sales report on the Sales Dashboard on Amazon and compare to the total sales generated on the sales tax combined report, it is around $295 off. Sales Dashboard shows more. What might be the cause of this? Is the sales tax report the one to go off of as more accurate?

Yes, but only if you're finding that transactions are being duplicated.

off topic question but do influencers and creators with affiliates links create physical nexus in the state´s they are living in? so now my business have to pay sales tax in that specific state even tho i havent reash the treashold for economic nexus?

I need help asap. I did this but my grand total is completely different than my gross sales on Amazon. Is there a reason why? I did everything in the video 3x and still get the same results. I’m going crazy over here cause I need to file it today. Please help. My sales and grand total are over 200 bucks apart. Got a couple returns but not 200 bucks worth. My shipping was all purchased with Amazon.

So I have a question. If I ask someone to run their sales reports on Amazon and then run there sales reports on Avalara how come the sales reports does balance out to the sales reports generated on the mpf platform. Are these reports and never going to balance because refunds, returns etc ?

Mine is still not correct. I ran this report and it shows 14,600 but when I add all of the income under payments report, date range for the whole year, it shows 15,970.

We haven't tried that. Make a copy of your spreadsheet and then try it to see if it works and gives you the same information as the pivot table function.
