I always thought I was pregnant when I wasn’t, then the times I actually was/am I would totally disregard the symptoms 😅

I have signs but at the same time, maybe I’m just over thinking it.

Kendra I’m so happy you added the symptoms for when you weren’t pregnant. Last month I was convinced I was pregnant and came up with all these symptoms. I was four days late and then started my period.

Yes! When I wasn’t pregnant I imagined all sorts of symptoms, but then when I actually was, I didn’t feel anything!😂

This is so interesting! I only started to realize I may be pregnant because water began tasting like metal. I thought nothing of it until I realized the next morning. It’s only been 6 days, received a negative test, then I realized the instructions said to not chug water prior, and don’t take it later in the day.. so I could’ve screwed that up 😅. today makes 7 days and the test didn’t read at all; no yes or no just went completely blank. It’s very early so I’ll just have to wait another week. I just want the yes so I don’t feel crazy you know? Update: it’s Mother’s Day took two test, and just found out I’m pregnant 🤭

Congrats! I always obsess over the 2 week wait! I had an ectopic pregnancy in October. It was devastating. Hoping for a successful pregnancy soon!! 💕

I think I'm pregnant every single month at the minute..and we're not trying. Sometimes it's actually impossible for me to be but I still convince myself that I am! Your mind can definitely play tricks on you and make you think you're having symptoms! X

Needed this video more than I realized. Im 8 DPO and really feeling "symptoms" but took a test (definitely too early) and when it came out negative I was able to level set my expectations. Saw your video when I was feeling down after and am now feeling a lot better

I was tested positive this morning by using pt test but am not seeing any symptoms

its crazy how our mind-body connection works!! after all those yrs ttc you dont knowwwwwwwww how many times I thought I was pregnant when I wasn't like I was SO confident. I alsooo thought that the day I do get pregnant its going to be different and I wont experience anything but bcos we were due for our ivf start date the day after my expected period, (we didnt actively try that month) i just kept thinking "what if" we'd be that couple with a miraculous bfp before ivf. That thought kept creeping up but bcos we tried for so long I tried to not think about it but the day before ivf I just woke up with the "urge" to take a test just to get it over an done with. lo'&behold the biggest BFP EVER~ I saw it from far away I walked to it like 'omg omg omg' the longest walk of my life :D but yeah I didn't have any symptoms, actually I felt & feel WAY better pregnant than when I wasn't!

When I got pregnant with my first child I had no symptoms at all. I was positive my period was going to come. When I was 3 days late I knew something was up lol. Fast forward today where we’ve been actually trying to conceive and I look at everything as a sign lol. It’s all in our heads haha.

So excited for this. We miscarried in October and I’m currently in my two week wait for our first month trying again 🙏🏻

Just have to say, we see a lot online of people having symptoms before their period is due and testing positive before as well, but that’s really not normal. The body really can’t know it’s even pregnant until implantation, which is typically around when your period is due. Just have to say all this because it sucks to get hopes up when it’s just pre menstrual symptoms. If you’re pregnant, the hormones will continue to rise, and if not, they will plummet and your period will start.

Firstly, you look lovely as always! Secondly, I am the worst for symptom spotting and testing too early. Going into our 4th month trying for our first and don’t think I’ll track this time for my mental wellbeing! Thanks for sharing 😊

Every month I would swear I was pregnant and have all these symptoms.The one month I got pregnant I had none and didn’t even think anything of it.The one month I wasn’t obsessed over it I got pregnant!

Cycle before BFP: nausea, fatique, and pressure in my cervix/vagina. I never have PMS symptoms, so I was sure I was pregnant even with 3 negative tests (7 DPO, 10 DPO and day of period). Ended up with heavy period, debilitating actually. Went to gynecologist, she saw a possible endometrial polyp, excessive endometrial thickening of 17,3 mm (there are studies that showed tickening above 14 decreases chances of pregnancy almost by half, other studies concluded that thickening above 16 mm indicated bigger risks of malignancy). More so, I had been checking cervix positioning every day after that awful period, and somewhere around 8 or 9 DPO it became so hard, like a squeezed fist of a mad man, "tip of the nose" was a joke. So, I was SURE I wasn't pregnant, 99,5% sure. There is always that "but what if" thought in our TTC heads, so I took the test around 10 DPO just to silence that 0.5% thought in order to be able relax and peacefully wait for my period. Olso was a bit bored with 20 test strips lying around. And it came positive. WTF man?! W T F!? Not even a faint line, but a decent line. I had no symptoms other than a bit more of the cervical mucus (watery). And some mildest nausea. But I had more severe nausea cycle before (with 3 negative tests), therefore I wasn't giving it importance. So. There is that.

This video was so helpful! I believe and have seen women overthink symptoms and end up not being pregnant. I want to try to save myself from all of that so I’m trying to stay busy. I feel some interesting things but again, I may just be tripping. We’ll see in about 8 days or so. 🤞🏽

First time ever ttw period! Never been past four days late so I’m excited!

I had felt terrible for weeks. Really terrible, dizziness etc i went to the docs and they didn't know what was wrong, I had no sickness or cramps just really felt unwell. Took a test as missed period and I was 4 weeks pregnant honestly had no idea.

I always have pregnancy symptoms around ovulation and period. I get those pelvic pains, my boobs get larger, and I get nauseous. So misleading!

I love that you took ovulation tests. My friends think I’m crazy because that’s what I did for both pregnancies but I wasn’t trying to wait 6 months to get pregnant lol

I was shocked when you said your lips were dry because I've been TTC and ive missed my period, i havent had many symptoms but the thing i did notice was my lips, they're always dry! I've never had this issue before, im now convinced to take a test!

The best indicator: cervix position I wish people were talking about this more If your cervix drops after ovulation and gets hard=not pregnant

i know you're pregnant now, but in the month before it sounds like ovulation symptoms ( the ovary pain, nausea, headaches, bloating, positive ovulation test). congrats btw!!! we are currently trying for baby #2

I think I have a pregnancy test addiction. 10 days past ovulation and they are all negative even though I was convinced I was having all the symptoms. I am 5 weeks along and had a really strong inkling that I could be pregnant because my boobs ached and burned and I couldn't keep my eyes open at night. BFP at 9 dpo.

The reason we mistake pregnancy symptoms in the 2ww is because the rise in progesterone is what occurs in both pre period and early oregnancy. It’s a pain! I’m currently in my 2ww and trying not to symptom spot but it’s hard! I’m 2dpo and having headaches and cramps. Trying not to read too much into it though. I had the same symptoms at the same stage with my son 13 years ago. Fingers crossed it’s pregnancy 🤞🏻 xx

I think also sometimes, the egg can be, however only a third of the fertilized eggs get there. So you could have not imagined the symptoms I feel like.

Way late to the game. I’m in the two week wait. No bloating or constipation. I feel fine but I’m having some light pelvic pain. It’s the worst.

In the 2 week wait, hoping to be pregnant but hard to tell as this will also be my first 'real' period off the Pill. But...have had 2 somewhat distinctive symptoms so far - dizziness/spaced out feeling with a teeny bit of nausea out of nowhere for a few hours, and a night of really vivid /intensely emotional dreams. You get a progesterone surge in your tww which is the same hormone that surges and maintains during pregnancy. This is why you get similar symptoms whether pregnant or not. It's why symptom spotting is heartbreaking and frustrating. Congratulations!!!

I had kind of the same symptoms and took a pregnancy test but it was negative then 3 days later I got a cold sore which I didn't get in years so I took another test and it was positive...TWW symptoms are weird ha

i believe the thing with making yourself believe you have the symptoms is called “hysterical pregnancy” you basically expect the symptoms which causes your brain to create them

I get "pregnancy" symptoms every month! I think it is just how in tune you are with your body and if you've taken birth control. BC will really change up your body and you won't notice these symptoms. But if you are more in tune with your body you will notice these things. So happy for your new pregnancy Kendra! I’ve learned that some people are not imagining these symptoms it’s actually normal for Progesterone and other hormones to fluctuate and cause different symptoms throughout your cycle. I think that the TWW encourages women to really listen and get to know their bodies

I dont think we “make these symptoms up in our heads”. We’re just more in tune with our bodies but all these symptoms are more likely due to progesterone/PMS. I think it’s impossible to distinguish the difference until you get that BFP

Idk if I am. I always never think I am then i over think and freak out. I've been getting sick and I'm 3 days late. I havent taken a test and I wont unless I dont get my period this month. I don't really have a lot of symptoms. But others time I did. I dont think i am but I'm really really nervous.

The Ovia app did not work for me. I have a slightly longer cycle than most but tracked for 6 months before we started trying so it could have a better idea of when I would ovulate. It said I was ovulating a week before another app, Flo, which turned out to be more accurate. I did get pregnant on the first try but I don’t think that would have happened if I relied on ovia alone.

I miscarried last month and if my predictions are correct I was at 8 or 9 weeks. My body was telling me I was pregnant but the 4 teats I took were all negative. I even had very clear implantation bleeding and spotting at some point in place of my period. I went on to live my life. Even a doctor told me I wasn't pregnant. But I took a Irina test with her so again all negatives. I never took a blood test. I wasn't careful bc I didn't know. I don't blame myself bc it wasn't the right time. Here I am a month later getting symptoms again but this time feels different. This two week wait is giving me great anxiety. I'm ok with either outcome. I'm just happy that I am fertile enough at 39 to conceive at all.

My doctor did confirm that if you are indeed pregnant a ovulation test will pick it up. She has two kids and she used those!

i did the same. I had a chemical in January and decided to track symptoms all the way thru. February i knew i wasn't pregnant and tracked. Im very happy did because im in the TWW again. Its nice to be able to go back and see when i had my first bfp and the things i was feeling

I just found out I’m pregnant this morning! My period is due this Tuesday but I already knew I was pregnant because I had on and off cramping for 5 days straight, kept rushing to the loo to pee and feeling very hot! Just wanted to share my symptoms so this could help anyone else! I’ve been trying for 3 years! Currently I’m just shocked! Will make a doctors appointment to just confirm!!

We’ve just started TTC#1 and this video is just such great timing I had to comment and say thanks for sharing! I’ve only been through one TWW so far and I swear I logged 80% more info than I did before trying for a baby. I need to find some strength to chill out a little on the symptom spotting or I’ll drive myself crazy. Hearing about your comparison really helps prove that it’s not worth it.
