I went to Tokyo, Japan, and had lots of fun! I was there 2 weeks with some friends!

So here's some amazing random footage I took along the trip!
There are lots of arcades shots (TAITO Station, SEGA game center),
Retrogaming stands, Geek stuff, Don Quijote store, traditional Japan, some Sumo exhibition, and more...
We also went to a Hedgehog Cafè (didn't have time for a Maid Cafè)... Kawai!!!!! Oh, have you tried the Gashapon?
So come with me on this amazing journey to take a sneak peak of this awesome, and sometimes, weird country! 😉

I absolutely loved Japan when I went. Everything was an explosion on the senses and so colorful. One of my favorite countries. You captured the essence of pachinko parlors perfectly. The sounds of the machines is like a punch in the face when you enter the place. Awesome video. I'm jealous.

Thanks man! Yes, the Pachinko centers are crazy! Someone told me that when you want to exchange the metal balls back for money, you have to take them to another place outside, cause the japanese law prohibits money machines. So the other business is simply buying your "metal balls" 😅

Thanks mate! Well, no rush in going there 😉 But if you prepare the trip with time, you can get affordable plane tickets and find some hotels like mine for 20-30€/night.

Amazing Video Jordi :) Especially love the time laps footage at 9:10. I have some questions of that's okay? Which camera did you use for the video? And which software do you use for editing? Once again, cracking cool video. I hope you have some more footage that you can make a video out of !

Thanks, as always, my pleasure! I use my iPhone 7 to record, with an app called FilmicPro. And to edit I use Final Cut Pro X, on a Mac 😉 I have some more footage, but not sure that it will be enough for another vid! 😅

Oh man, this video is GREAT! Watching this makes it feel that I'm actually there. I was in Japan in 1995, and this video gives me the urge to go there again. :-) Do you only use these 'tube hotels', or do you also stay at regular hotels?

I only stayed in the capsule hotel. 10 nights, awesome! and cheap! 😉

JordiPower My problem is that I snore alot, and I fear that would bother the other people staying there. As far as I can see in other videos, there are no doors in front of the individual capsules, but only a curtain which doesn't block noise. Have you heard of any issues with snorring people at the capsule hotels? :-/

Man this is so cool! Some of my friends and I are thinking of going there, it's my own personal goal to find a Game Boy Light there :D How long in advance did you plan this trip? the capsule hotel looks awesome

We bought the tickets and stuff 2 months before, but we didn't really plan lots of things for Tokyo. We had a friend there so he helped us a lot! 😉

I went with some friends. Travelling alone in Japan can be a nice experience too I think. People there are very nice and helpful.

/KBLY/ don't worry about Japan you won't get scammed like in most countries. The Japanese are very kind and helpful if they see you behave politely. If you don't know the language and you have a special diet like vegetarian, kosher, or other, then learn the language before visiting or plan ahead about what you can eat

/KBLY/ I forgot to mention that you will get lost on the train and on the streets no matter if you speak the language or not. It happens to all of us and to Japanese as well. There are so many train lines and train companies that is hard to memorize all the routes. Always ask the person in the ticket gates and use pen and paper, good luck

No, I don't! Some friends living there showed me how to say the most important thing! 😉 Don't worry about language, they always understand you in a way or another, and if not, it's fun and part of the experience!

Gosh man! I Want to go so fucking bad!! So beautiful. Playing games like Persona or Yakuza really do a good job of showing Tokyo and Japan for sure. Like watching this I feel like I've been there lol. I love that arcades are everywhere I member watching a lot of arcades die here in the states. It's sad. How is it in Europe? Hentai really is everywhere. Wow so how does their culture handle that? Like they don't really seem ashamed. I think there is a stigma in the states about 'porn/sex stores' or we have a store called Spencer's. it's very nerd oriented but in the back they have sex toys and things and u hardly catch people back there. They seem to ashamed to be caught looking. Seems like it's not that way in Japan haha

The Hentai thing surprised us all... Men are not ashamed, but I feel in Japan lots of women are submissive in certain ways. In any case, japanese people are very polite and they almost never say the truth if this can hurt your feelings, so I guess there's some degree of hypocrisy. It's a different society. You never see japanese couples kissing on the street, not even holding hands... but they have hentai in lots of combinis (24 hours convenience stores). I guess they have some society problems. We do too, but the problems are different from ours. It's a very interesting society to discover for sure! 😊
