Oh, my friend has been vacationing in Thailand for these two weeks, maybe she saw you, I'll have to ask. In general, Thailand is a very beautiful place for photos, I really want to go there, but there is no money.

I've been wanting to revisit Thailand for some time now. A dozen of my friends and I visited just after we graduated college a few years ago and we directly flew to Phuket. We roughly spent less than 900USD individually paying some travel agency for all our plane tickets, hotel stays and local transportations. The beaches on some smaller islands are really beautiful. Phuket is a relatively cheap place to visit but that really depends on the airfare. Hope you get to visit soon!

The Fuji system is really nice. If the X-T5 had AF as good as the Sony A7 IV, it would be a no-brainer.

Did you have a 2nd lens on this trip. ? Some photos here seem to hint that there was more telephoto-reach than just 55mm ( showing 58mm or 83mm for instance ! Could also be the max. range in something like a 1.5 x crop-mode...? )

Fujifilm's 18-55 is highly regarded as one of the best kit lenses even giving the XF 16-55 a close run in many scenarios, especially with its stabilisation which the 'pro' XF does not have :)

So what aspects of image quality do you mean when it comes to zoom vs primes? I'm sure it's not only about sharpness? A comparison video with examples of both would be really interesting.

I think sharpness is one thing but in the end not so important. I feel like what you really loose with a zoom is this micro contrast and clarity that even when zoomed out gives a more crispy look to the photos

Great photo and film motifs, perspectives, colors, people, places and landscapes. A documentary that gives an exciting insight into this exotic culture and society with a wealth of interesting moments. And hey - I even saw a cloudy footprint at 11:49 ;-) But, all jokes aside: Great work! And, in my opinion, a very loving and respectful look at the country you traveled to. Thank you very much!

Already came back, it was very warm and humid indeed haha. But Japan summer is pretty much the same so it was OK, just a lot of sweat ^^'

ah yes, the classic comb from thailand as a mic stand😌there isn't much street photography in thailand as calming and beautifully shot as yours! i definitely love the scenes and photos coming out from the countryside more. everything look so peaceful 💚i often have trouble with my sony a6400 giving lots of shaky videos and grainy photos under low light condition. seeing you manage to still capture amazing shots with an apsc are always so inspiring!

Great video. Love my XE-4. I have the same kit zoom but for the last year I have been shooting with the F35 1.4 and it’s a joy of a camera/lens combo. Could not be happier.
