Today I talk about my experiences so far owning my car as well as some ownership insights and tips about the 86 chassis. Follow me on Instagram! / caseyyjones__
I bought a 2017 Toyota 86 with 30k miles. The minute I got in, I yelled like a little boy “This is not a car, this is a toy!!” I walk to work b/c I live so close to it, but on weekends I take the long route to run errands or see friends because the car is fun to drive.
@@ClarionLevaR Yea, I've driven one before and it's quite fun. Been reading a lot about the new GR86 and people are complaining about various issues, especially the RTV. Did you run into any engine issues with previous generations?
@@p_xl982there’s multiple things that could happen varying on different ownership however I would just make sure that all the recalls are done and you shouldn’t have any problems with the car.
@@Itsdjsigi I prefer the frs for the feel of the steering and the feeling of the ride (more raw and solid feeling). The GR86 is a bit mushy in the steering and softer in the ride feel. I still like the GR and I will keep it. I’m sure I will get used to the feel. Just think the frs feels more like a race car.
im 6'2 and fit in mine perfectly fine, and you can always get a new seat with low profile seat brackets if you want more headroom for a helmet if you want to track it.
