I lived with Chronic pain for over 2 years, with no real explanation from doctors, no real diagnosis, and it just went on and on until i pushed hospitals and doctors for answers. Mentally i have been at breaking point for a long time, but also my mental strength was got me through it by living with the constant pain for so long. I know i am not the only one who has had to suffer like this.

This is currently what I have been going through. Two years of undiagnosed chronic pain that nobody could figure out (colonoscopies, endoscopies, misdiagnosis of IBS, etc..) until last week when I drove myself to the ER where they did a CT scan and found out I had a ruptured appendix for way longer than one should have a ruptured appendix. I had to be in the hospital for a week (just got out this morning.) I’m so glad you shared your story with the internet.

This just happened to me and I felt like I was going crazy. I’m sorry you went through this. I was so depressed I thought my fatigue and constant icky feeling was from being over worked or just a low immune. They kept telling me I was low in random vitamins or an ear infection or dehydrated. Each time they sent me home. I was told I was sensitive I was told to just exercise more and get a better sleep routine. Even when I had a major attack and couldn’t get out of a ball, the ER sent me home saying it was maybe IBS or it was my normal body being funny and women have this happen a lot. I called back in pain and luckily they looked at my ct scans again and called my bf because I was in so much pain I couldn’t answer my phone. They made a mistake and didn’t notice a stone. So to come in. They semi rushed me to surgery and apologized for missing the “small” stone. They then show me photos after surgery. The thing had leaked and fecal matter was in my body! Let’s just say this same thing happened ten years ago with my gull bladder. Doctors have read lots of books but unless the issue shows up in bright lights, they will most likely misdiagnose people. Doctors are just humans.

Happy you shared your story, same thing happens to me I was in constant pain on and off for almost a year went to the er 100 times in a year with pain radiating from my lower back to my obliques down to the growing area, due to being chronic appendicitis’s you have to get it while it’s flared up or else it won’t show inflame in any damn test.. I went to the er a day I had like 10/10 pain the did a contrast ct scan of my abdominals and yup my appendix was inflame, remove that sucker forever...it caused me a whole year in debilitating pain tho.

Over the past month since my operation my pain slowly returned, but not as bad as before. I went to a surgical review follow up for my appendix op an the doctors told me the cause of my pain wasn't from my appendix but it was inflammed due to what was going on inside me. So they booked me in for a colonoscopy, an the doctors think i might have crohn's disease. They said i have abnormalities in my bowel. I find out the results in 1 week from now. My mental state is still suffering, at times it feels like i am going crazy, or i think i have. Its great to hear about your story :) fingers crossed you are pain free from this point on

Made me want to cry! I know the feeling of being labeled with anxiety when you are truly in constant pain and your pain threshold is so high that they don’t understand. It’s a horrible feeling. I am on the road to healing through long fasts and homeopathy but having no answers is so hard. I have had the same pains as you but moreso in the front down the groin. The PT can feel how tight my illiacus is and how swollen my whole hip is from almost 2 years of pain. I am sending in my CT scans this week to a an online second opinion doctor since I am newly pregnant and pains have worsened along with shortness in of breath and I can no longer do my long fasts. Not eating was the only thing that made it feel better sadly. I hope you are feeling much better! Thanks for sharing! (Ps I also thought my lymph is enlarged because of the chronic infection I am fighting there.)

You've helped a lot of people by sharing this. I am currently in a similar place. I have a cat scan and collonscopy next week. If they do not determine anything my surgeon said he will do a laronscopy; investigative surgery with a small rod camera. This should all happen in the next 2 week's. So I'll com back then and pass on th knowledge. Symptoms at present - lower right back pain, pain in the lower right abdomen, no appetite, nausea, constipation, weakness in legs, hydrocele, bloating hard tummy and lots of gurgling. Im a 32 year old athlete with a great diet. Had these symptoms 3 years but they became a lot worse last week. I'll keep you posted.

So glad I came across this video ! I've had Lower right abdomen pain for almost 4 years now . The doctors first said it was hormonal, then they said it was muscular then 2 years ago, they thought it was a female issue so they did exploratory surgery and ended up removing scar tissue I had from previous c sections. But after that the pain returned. I feel like it may be my appendix or colon issue as well. I have the same thing happen , they push on my stomach and it doesn't hurt so they rule it out . But I'm going to keep on until I find out what is the problem. No one should have to live in pain! Pain is our bodies' way of telling us something isn't right. Thank you for sharing , I hope that you are closer to healing from what was causing you pain .

Hi It sounds like you have gone through the same trauma as me. Sadly i still don't have any answers, and am still having issues with whatever is wrong with me. It wasn't my appendix, but they are leaning towards something like crohn's disease or a bowel related problem. Mainly my mental state has suffered the most in the last 6mnths. All the build up of pain an trauma has really effected my internal engine, i have trouble sleeping every night,......i wouldn't wish it on anyone. The Psychiatrist says i have medical anxiety, plus depression. Put that with the chronic pain an i am one mentally messed up dude lol I hope you have found some answers that can lead you in the right direction. Don't give up and push the doctors to find out what is wrong. You are so right, no one should have to suffer and live with chronic pain.

@@Leah-mk9nr Hi! We finally concluded it to be scar tissue from my c sections. My doctor ended up performing a hysterectomy on me, removing my uterus, cervix and Fallopian tubes. It’s been over a year since the surgery and I am in a lot less pain. I do still get pains during ovulation (my ovaries weren’t taken out ) and if I get dehydrated. But the scarring was bad inside of me. It was connecting my organs together . The hysterectomy definitely helped but I still have pains because the hysterectomy in itself created more scarring. I just take it one day at a time. I made a video about it on my channel where I go more in depth. 💛

Mine went on for 3 months. I had awful epigastric pain... I thought I was suffering with gastritis or bad ulcers. My blood and urine always came back normal. And then one night my pain moved lower, so I went to the hospital and they did an abdomen CT and said I had appendicitis. I had surgery, however, they didn't know I had an intestinal malrotation... so they had to do a celiotomy and go looking for my appendix because it wasn't where it was supposed to be. Instead of being in the lower right side it was up near my stomach. But after my appendix was removed Ive had no more pain, no more appetite loss, no more "flare ups". Im 2 1/2 weeks out from my surgery and finally feeling back to normal-ish. For months I was in pain, not eating, not sleeping, having anxiety attacks high blood pressure from the pain and stress etc. And now I'm fine again eating whatever I want ( I had lost about 40 pounds from the whole ordeal because I wasn't eating) and moving around fine. like I was before all my symptoms appeared. I didn't think chronic appendicitis was a thing , and I didn't even think mine was my appendix due to the placement... turns out my insides aren't placed right. And it was my appendix the whole time. You aren't alone and im glad you figured out what was wrong. God bless.

I feel like this is what I have, for 8 years I have had this pain. I’ve had an abdominal ultrasound (found out I had PCOS) and I also had a colonoscopy. After the colonoscopy they told me I probably just have IBS. Put me on meds, and that just made my stomach cramp really bad. Even had a doctor tell me “it sounds like something that will go away on its own” EIGHT years later and I still have this terrible pain that comes and goes. I just wish someone would give me the facts. I feel like no doctors actually care. And I’m suffering ALL THE TIME. It’s so fucking frustrating and sometime I can’t help but cry and not because the pain but because I can’t figure out how to make it go away

I read lot of medical documents based on chronic appendix cases and its harder to be diagnosed ( its rare condition only 7 percent of all appebdix case's).. For this will need CT scan and blood test ( leukocytes , CRT ( c reactive protein) And pray if ct scan detect something wrong with your appendix ( like fecalith ) bcs sometime your hole between appendix and cecum can be smaller and he can easy obstructed ( this can case little to average pain and other symptoms) till it unblocked and later months or years can returns

I'm so sorry for what you've been through, that sounds awful 😭 it's so frustrating and disheartening when you are repeatedly dismissed and not taken seriously by doctors, and when you have no answers or diagnosis for your pain!! I'm glad that you are better with your appendix removed though, I'm glad you got some relief! I've been experiencing recurrent bouts of pain, but it is only in my abdomen, usually in the center, but I've also had one episode of sharp, right-sided pain as well. It started a few years ago and it would come back maybe a couple times a year, but now it's like 1-2 times a month, and its a really dull pain that progresses to nausea and vomit and intense pain for several days and then will disappear after. I've had an xray, blood work, urine sample, pregnancy test, ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound, and nothing has really come back except for high white blood cell count. Possible theories by doctors are endometriosis and chronic appendicitis. I'm supposed to be getting more tests done to figure out what it could be, and in the mean time I'm just trying to manage the pain when it flares up but not knowing is so frustrating! It takes so long to find answers and you tell your story to so many different doctors but it's like they're all getting different bits and pieces.

I had my appendix removed 3 weeks ago. Two to three month before it was inflamed but the tests were only moderate painful but the sono showed heavy inflammation. I took antibiotics for a week and it resolved. One month later it flared up but not severe and resolved with natural antibiotics and very slow eating but a few weeks later again pain. This time different with burning. Sono showed moderate inflammation but pain was getting worse so they took it out. I think this was the best option. Not only the pain was gone but a lot of things improved I did not think of. Problems I had for many years. I tolerate foods now that made me fell bad for years. So I think the appendix was irritated for a very long timend I did not notice. Pain after eating to much, also on the left side or around the navel area. Back pain, „kidney problems“… I feel better psychological. Less to no anxiety, dark thoughts. Inflammation can trigger some kind of existential angst. I read about zytokines and inflammatory markers. These can depress your mood. Inflammation is not only physical but through blood brain barrier it can affect your brain. Felling exhausted etc. My tounge always had a white coating which is gone now. And also some minor other improvements. I think about how many people have issues with their appendix and not know about it. Or other inflammation (stomach, teeth, gut etc.) that puts their lives into misery. Thank you for your video.

I have a 14 year old son going through this right now. It is so affecting his life and numerous tests have revealed nothing. Every time I bring up Chronic Appendicitis, I get shut down. No pain killers he has been given to date have worked except morphine at the ED once. We too have been told its muscular, now its ETAP, athlete stitch while he is swimming. I keep asking about the pains he gets when not swimming. His are daily but intermittent. Going on 3 years now and getting really worse since end of January this year. He has been suggested from the hospital to see a psychologist to manage the pain. Specialists, drs, and still no answer. Off to a private surgeon Tuesday. But I don't like our chances as the gastroenterologist referred us and stated his ideas in referral letter. We will keep fighting until someone believes us there is Chronic appendicitis

I thought I had chronic appendicitis too and your symptoms and story sound so similar to mine, but I think I finally have an answer to mine: blood clots! I ended up having a Pulmonary embolism during pregnancy and upon blood thinner treatment, eventually had some DVT type of leg pain(likely from the clots clearing) even though I hadn’t had DVT symptoms prior to that except for hip and right sided pain radiating up and down my right side. You can have blood clots anywhere in your body and it can happen in healthy people, especially who weight lift but because they are so healthy they don’t present with the tachycardia and other symptoms as noticeably. Also it seems like the veins and arteries hurt more after the clot passes than when they are stuck. I have felt random pains all over as thought he clots are moving through being on blood thinners.l and then eventually relief. Maybe if it flares up again have them check your d-dimer levels during the worse of it. Hope you get better soon!

Wow I’ve been through so much of the same, including the neck mri. In and out of ER, many do or appointments. I had episodes that would start with a little twinge and it would quickly escalate to severe back and chest pain, it would go up my neck into my ear. I would have to breath through it until the throwing up would begin. It could last up to 3-6 hours. I would try and change my diet, I would try everything and nothing helped. My neck and back muscles were getting worse and worse, I was sleeping in an acupuncture pad every night. I felt like I was slowly dying. I felt like my body was sick and attacking itself but because nobody could see it and nothing was showing up clearly in tests, everyone thought I was a hypochondriac I’m sure. The smallest tasks seemed impossible. This lasted about a year. Finally one day my stomach just started aching after I did some raking. The pain got worse and wrapped all around my stomach and back. I through up all night and had no energy. Finally the next day if rove myself to the hospital. After ct scan they said I had appendicitis and needed to do surgery. After surgery I had a horrible reaction where the gas they pump into you during surgery went up into my chest which mimicked a heart attack. After running tests and having cardiac enzyme bloods drawn for 24 hours, another ct scan to rule an aortic aneurysm. I started to pass the gas slowly which relieved the feeling that I was having a heart attack. I’m 4 days post my appendectomy and all the neck and back pain that I have been suffering with constantly has disappeared! It’s amazing what your body does to try and show you that something is wrong. It’s almost like I was being slowly poisoned but if it’s not flared up at time of ct scan they just miss it. Dude I had a year of visiting the doc, loads of tests, bloods indicating some higher than normal levels and that I was fighting an infection, same symptoms every time, pain, sickness, irregular bowel activity, and feeling fatigued, antibiotics prescribed after which 1 week of feeling ok then cycle would start again. Final chat with doc, left me gobsmacked, Doc suggested I had a fatty liver and just left it at that, at which point I had had enough. I was in constant pain and my head was not working properly at all, and my fatigue just got worse, not able to be as active as normal and weight increased over period of time too! Long story short, 3 months later burst appendix, gangrene and sepsis, 7 days in hospital, 10 days later 30 staples removed and wound opened up loads of fluid pouring out, returned to hospital to be informed that the wound would have to heal from the inside out. 19 months on still having complications and situation is still not entirely concluded. My scar is huge, I’ve had loads of internal pain and my belly button is about 50mm to the left of where it used to be! My right hand side and to the left of the scar protrudes out at least 100mm more than the same area on the left side of my abdomen, this area of my body has been nicknamed as the AEC, (alien eruption centre) by family and friends, my consultant believes it to be a “Complex Hernia” ?? He then looked concerned and referred me to hospital for a scan. The scan confirmed it. They have told me it's not acccite appendicitis and there fore will not operate until necessary. Saying that I've been diagnosed for over a year and 90% of time I don't have an issue with it. I have changed my lifestyle since. Eating healthier and lost 70 pounds in weight. In the future if you ever have a doctor that refuses to do a test or prescribe a medication or anything else you think you need an attorney said say to the doctor: "I want you to write for me the medical criteria why you're refusing to do... such and such test... make such and such referral to whatever specialist... prescribe such and such medication or treatment and add a copy as a permanent part of my medical record." I actually did this once for my 8 yr old daughter who had Lyme's disease but the doctor wanted to do a bone marrow test instead It came back red hot Lymes. Naturally the doctor tried to shrug it off and act like it was her idea to do the limes test and never mention the extremely painful bone marrow biopsy she wanted to do again. I used it for myself when I had Lymes disease during pregnancy with my 4th child and the emergency room didn't want to test for Lymes because neither my other daughter nor I got a bullseye rash even though I was unable to stand or walk any longer. My little dog had gotten Lymes right after me without a bullseye rash and a mere veterinarian did the test right away and saved his life. Needless to say my test came back red hot. I used it about 10 years after that when I had something wrong with my heart that wasn't showing up on the EKG in the doctor's office many times she insisted I see a psychiatrist. So finally I used it to get an ultrasound where they said I "only had a skip in my heart" which after following up with an actual cardiologist using a "sonogram with bubble" turned out to be left mitral valve regurgitation. Now I'm watching your video because I have pain I believe is my appendix. My daughter had her appendix out because she had chronic appendicitis and her appendix was as the doctor called it "cranky" and slightly inflamed. His opinion was it was better to just take it out than have her come back in a week or a month. I mentioned her having appendicitis because it can come on from viruses and I've heard many experiences of people getting appendicitis and their family members getting it before or after them too. I know I'm not going to be believed for some of the same reasons you were not believed. But I am very grateful to that attorney for arming people with the right terminology to defend ourselves against doctors who ignore their patients. I hope you never have to use that dialogue, but if you do I hope it helps. I listen to your whole story and am very sorry that you had to go through that. Sadly I know that feeling personally. Psychiatric medications can cause many physical problems some of them can't be fixed even when the medication is stopped. Thank you for your video. I wish you well!!

Wow this is what I feel like. I’ve had pain for about nine months now. I had a CT scan back in October, that showed no appendicitis but some small lymph nodes in the ileocecal area. They told me I probably had a GI infection, and it should go away. Well it didn’t, I still get pain on and off. It’s usually present more often than not. If I bend down to pick something up I’ll get a pressure feeling in my abdomen, if I sit I’ll get pain. If I lay too flat on my back I’ll get pain, if I sneeze a bunch I’ll get a throbbing pain for a few minutes. It really sucks. I have a GI appointment coming up they want to do a colonoscopy. I just wish I could go see a surgeon.

I will keep you updated. Have you got your lab results already and is your pain getting better? I truly have exact the same story, just that they always sent me to the gynecologist and I had one Laparoscopy already, because of a "female" issue and they did`t look at my appendix. After that and my pain was not getting any better - it was "all in my head". Chronic pain is really the worst. So I can feel you - I really hope, that that journey is now going to an end with getting out my appendix :) And I hope you feel better and can start your life again.

Yes i got the lab results back, and the thing that was found is that i had lymphnode hyerplasia of the appendix. Yes the pain i was having has gone away but now i hav the recovery pain and it is playing on my mind,.....i have been traumatized by what i have been through and it has effected me mentally. I hope in time the mental scares heal. Lymphoid hyperplasia is an increase in the number of normal cells (called lymphocytes) that are contained in lymph nodes. This most often happens when there is an infection with bacteria, viruses, or other types of germs and is part of the body's reaction to the infection. So it seems that for over 2 years i have been fighting some infection, virus, or bacteria inside me. I actually need to make a follow up video to update what has happened since operation and how i am feeling now. I hope they find out what is causing your chronic pain......yes it is the worst, no one should have to live like this
@tallamahouka
@tallamahouka 7 лет назад
Hey there - I had my surgery in the morning and yes, I had it, too! Chronic appendicitis (From what the surgeon could see). They also found a not so big ovarian cyst on the right, so I stay hopeful, that the pain was caused by the inflamed appendix and the cyst will naturally resolve :) How are you felling now? I will keep you updated after recovery and when I have the lab results, if my pain is gone with my appendix :) I totally can feel you, so many doctors tell you, that it`s all in your head or that sometimes no actually problem can be found and one has to learn to live with that pain. But it`s really a strange idea to tell a young person to "simply" live with chronic pain. I totally can feel you how devastating it is. My story is like yours, you are not alone and I really got depressed about that and sometimes even thought, that I can`t live with that pain and from a rational viewpoint suicide would be the better option. :D BUT all in all I learned a lot - to hear what my body is trying to tell. Got me to healthy routines, and how to "survive" in the medical system etc. I really hope that this time of constant pain is over for you and for me _ good luck and have a nice recovery!
@TaminasWorld
@TaminasWorld 7 лет назад
That is incredible!!! Why is this type of thing flying under the radar? Why do Doctors not pick it up? I am so happy for you. I hope the only pain u feel now is the recovery pain. After about 4 weeks i started to doubt whether or not i was "FIXED",.......its the mental scars that i am having trouble dealing with. I 100% know exactly were you are coming from,......i don't like to admit it, i like to say i was in a dark place,......but i couldn't continue to live a life feeling the way i was. Words can't describe the trauma i went through, the weight, the pain i carried around pretending i was coping ok when really i was struggling. I need to do a update video in the next few days, keep an eye out for it, an i hope you are feeling like the old you again :)

I had this pain on and off for years with a low grade fever. It just all the sudden got bad in August. I had an exploratory surgery and they found a patch of endometriosis. Two months later I could no longer stand the pain. I was in the hospital again and got accused of wanting pain meds, they thought I was insane and tried to force me into a psych ward. Got a HIDA scan done that showed I had cholecystitis. Went to a different hospital to get that taken out. Two weeks later I was back in the hospital and I was still ignored. I demanded to see a new surgeon. He finally agreed to take my appendix out alongside the gynecologist who took out the endometriosis to be sure all bases were covered. I am now two weeks post op and got the pathology report and what do you know! I had appendicitis! They said it must’ve been years due to the way it looked. I’m so sorry you’ve had such a hard time as well. But you’re not alone!

I had chronic appendicitis for most likely 5+ years. Reoccurring painful bloating was my biggest symptom. I had other things going on as well, but when it escalated and I was sick for 3 months straight, they finally went in and sure enough, the appendix was completely shriveled up and lab confirmed appendicitis. 2 ct scans missed it. It was hell
@alisue4426
@alisue4426 3 года назад
@Idania Navarrete do you mean did it come and go? Yes. It would always flare in the evening. And generally fade some if I layed on my gut and just fell asleep. But it became more and more frequent as the years went on. But I also have ongoing other issues, so it's hard to solely pinpoint anything except the chronic bloating. That was most def my appendix because I have had it maybe twice somewhat in the 3 years since removal, whereas before it was twice or more a week. They told me it was IBS.. ha. Anyways. . I had constant ache in that area only in the last month or so before surgery. BUT that ache came back a lot after, HOWEVER, I had intense muscle massage work on that area after a second surgery for endometriosis and it finally has been gone for over a year. I thought maybe it was ovary related, but it wasn't going away after surgery and ovaries where fine, but the massage helped relieve it a ton. I think that ache was muscular. But was it brought on by chronic inflammation in that area? I don't know. But the tight painful bubbling bloat that would cover almost my whole stomach and feel like it would explode, the chronic gas, and even strong anal itching, all went away. Now I only get bloat when overdo gluten, but that's not even everytime. And gas is also only when I eat poorly, but it's nothing at all compared to my life before surgery. I wish I could say it solved all my other GI pain, but that has just gotten worse with gall bladder removal.. But that's another story.

My pain would always seem to last for about 3months of intense/extreme pain, and would fade away on its own, but would never really go away if that makes sense. It was a very strange/hard feeling to describe. At times it felt like a stabbing feeling in my lower right back and on my right side, then it would feel like someone had stapled a piece of cardboard inside me with a rock in side it, it felt like a deep dull constant pain. It was always there, always on my mind, every moment of the day. I just became tolerant to the pain because i didn't get help or answers from doctors so i had to tolerate the pain or i would go mental. By the end it did send me crazy, i am still emotionally scared due it. My appendix was tucked behind my bowel, so maybe this was why the push test never affected me, but i was in extreme pain all the time so the push test wouldn't of made any difference. You should push your doctors to look into Chronic Appendicitis if all other tests have come back clear. I got tested for a rare form of tumor/cancer because all my other tests were coming back clear.....................it was just the fact that i had visited emergency 6 times in less than 2 months that they started to think it MIGHT be my appendix, and that i wasn't just suffering anxiety or just a hypochondriac. I’m so sorry you went through this. I think I may be experiencing something similar. I’ve had chronic pain on my right side under my ribs and near my belly button for like 3 years now...I’ve had several tests (colonoscopy, CT Scan, exploratory surgery, gallbladder test, etc) and they still can’t find anything wrong. It makes me feel so miserable and hopeless. I’ve lost so much weight and am very weak. I found a surgeon willing to remove my appendix but I’m afraid to do something so drastic...😢

Brianna Lee hey! Don’t give up. I was in and out of the hospital the past 4 months. A HIDA scan showed I had cholecystitis. I had that taken out. The pain persisted. They didn’t believe my appendix was bad. I found a surgeon to take my appendix out. I just got the pathology report and I had appendicitis this whole time!

I also had an exploratory surgery. Colonoscopy. Multiple CT scans. Everything was “normal” but pathology says otherwise!! Good luck !

Is there any other homeopathic cures or hers to treat chronic appendicitis without surgery? I don't have insurance or money for an exam or surgery. Need help as I think I may have chronic appendicitis. Please?
@warefairsoda
@warefairsoda 5 лет назад
No there is not, however treatment with antibiotics has shown promise as an alternative to an appendectomy, but bear in mind this treatment is not applicable to all cases of appendicitis, chronic or acute, and very likely is not accepted at this point in time as a first-line treatment for appendicitis.

I had it from thursday to wednesday when they performed the appendectomy.

how are things now? hope you feel better. For me its been 5 weeks now that my lower right side started feeling weird after i felt a sharp pain which lasted about 30mins, so i went to the hospital and all test came back clear. Now i feel small pain in areas under my rib cage, from my navel round to my back sometimes and when it doesn't hurt,it feels like a balloon or some mass inside me. I don't know what to do :( is this what i have?

thats heart breaking to hear, i pray he'll come through. i just got back from the hospital where i was admitted for a night, my abdomen started feeling weird (like electricity, idk) then i felt dizzy and fell over. they did test again and most came back clear except the ultrasound where they noticed something but now i need 2 go for a ct. idk if it was a panic attack but i feel alright now, still hav heavy vision and to think it happened after reading your reply :(
