I could have died! I’m not kidding. The problems I was having were more severe than I thought. I hope my story can save someone. I didn't know I was having appendicitis and it was causing lots of digestive problems. FAVORITE RU-vid TOOLS:

Cory you perfectly described what a panic attack feels like. Most people confuse panic attack with general anxiety. I have suffered with panic disorder for years and have attacks sometimes multiple times a month. It is one of the most terrifying feeling you can go through. I am sorry you experienced them too. I hope that you have them less now since your surgery has corrected the horrible symptoms you were having.

This happened to me, please keep it in mind. Short version. I was at the point of appendix bursting also, but all my pain was on the left side. When they removed it, it was behind my colon and pointed to my left. Also I had a tumor inside it which is quite rare. So if ever your children complain of pain in the left side I hope this comes to mind.

So happy you were get to the bottom of it and are feeling a world of difference. I’ve watched your videos for a long time but had never checked out your kids channel! The videos are amazing!! I’m so happy you have this creative outlet that your littles ones can enjoy too. I have a 2 year old that will absolutely love the work you’ve done. I can’t wait to show him. You are so talented and though I’m glad (and completely understand ) you took a step away from RU-vid to recharge and focus on life, I am really excited to have some updates again on your journey. You continue to inspire. Wishing you and your beautiful family all the best!

Thank you for bringing awareness to appendicitis! People do not take it nearly seriously enough, I know I didn't until it impacted me. In August 2017 my appendix nearly killed me. Mine, apparently, had been leaking for weeks or months, which apparently can happen, which is terrifying. It was considered a rupture, but it was more like a small pinprick where stuff was just slowly dripping out of it. In December 2016 I started having what was diagnosed as UTI's, which was odd because I was never really prone to them beforehand. The antibiotics they gave me seemed to help until the next supposed round of UTI. Turns out it was my appendix being misdiagnosed and the antibiotics just barely keeping the infection under control, but I always felt a little off between antibiotic treatments. By the time it was properly diagnosed the situation was critical. Within 20 minutes of the diagnosis being confirmed they had me back in the OR. I was in the hospital 5 days after surgery, then an additional 7 days after I spiked a 104-degree fever because oral antibiotics weren't enough to fight the infection, and 3 weeks at home with a PICC line in my arm doing 3 rounds of antibiotic and antifungal IV treatments a day to clear the infection from my body. Here is what I learned from my experience: 1) appendicitis can be easily misdiagnosed, so if you feel your doctor is misdiagnosing you, fight them on it 2) if your mom insists something is seriously wrong, don't doubt that motherly intuition, get your butt to the nearest ER immediately, my mom forcibly dragging me to the ER saved my life 3) appendicitis is way under talked about for something that can so easily kill a person in a short span of time. Thank you, again, for using your platform to spread awareness!

I just went through this in September actually. I also thought it was literally just gas, or that I was constipated. I took laxatives, and waited a week until I could barely walk because I was in so much pain. Literally went to work the day before my boyfriend *dragged* me to the hospital. Ran a few tests, and yep, confirmed appendicitis. My appendix was THREE TIMES the size it should have been. A whopping 16 cm. It was close to bursting. Had to wait a weekend in the hospital on IV antibiotics before I had it removed via surgery. It was the most excruciating, horrible pain I have ever experienced.

Chronic appendicitis. I was getting sick daily at work. Having dizzy spells, unable to climb without gasping for air and almost passing out. Pain I thought was my back that was debilitating. All gone now after going to ER 2 weeks ago, getting admitted and removing the appendix. This went on for years as long as I can remember. Never thought I would feel normal again. It's like being reborn.

Thanks for sharing. My dad was born in 1928. When he was 14 his appendix finally almost burst and he had to be rushed to the hospital. The bridge was out due to flooding so the core of engineers had to take him by boat across the Missouri River. He could have died that night. Thankfully his life was saved. He told me that up to that point he had episodes of pain that would come and go.

I think it's crazy that for your entire youtube career this has been a thing! You've said so many times about how you are lactose intolerant and its scary to think that was your appendix! I remember you doing the ghost chilli challenge with some other youtubers/friends on SMPFilms back in 2011 and you saying then that you would pay for it later with the amount of milk you drank! I'm so glad you are on the mend and have finally found why you've had all this pain. Funnily enough only a few weeks ago I read something claiming that appendices issues/appendix removal (forget which) can lead to lactose intolerance and scientists were investigating it. Lovely to see you back on youtube for a bit even if it is temporary, it's like seeing a friend I havent spoken to for ages :)

This sounds so much like my gallbladder story! Ignored it for years, like you, partly for insurance reasons and then once I got insurance I ignored the pain because it eventually(and I say that loosely) would subside. Finally after gallstones had apparently gotten huge, the pain was unbearable and I was given emergency surgery. It’s was gallstone attacks the whole time!
