Whoops. Bought another. Lowe’s was closer than Walmart where I went so that’s really why I went with one from Lowe’s. It’s not terrible. Just solid plastic of course. #Utilitech #Pelonis #Portablefan
I own one of these fans and I have no complaints for it. It even has a fuse in the plug. I'm not sure if it's common in fans but an added fuse to the plug is a welcome feature.
i have this same fan it comes under many different names mines is for house to home.. and they are loud i have the new designed one also under house to home and they have made a ton of changes i might do a comparison video of it soon good video i enjoyed it
It doesn’t sound like it moves a lot of air, I do like that it’s quiet and I like the high gloss finish, plastic is kind of good for durability purposes atleast it won’t rust or bend
Yup, you got the right idea! It’s not extremely powerful, and that’s what I wanted. We use it near a fire table (essentially a miniature fire pit that serves as a table) so we don’t need it disrupting the flames. I don’t think it’ll rust at all. I’ll be surprised it if it does! :)
idk if it's because my fan is just too dirty but i cannot get the grill to slide out 😔 only can pull it down a bit but having to use way too much effort and it feels like i'm going to break it
The 1990's Holmes box fans had a really similar design. The feet on these box fans are a better design than the ones on the Lasko box fans. I guess you win some you lose some with these fans. Lol.
That’s actually one of the reasons why I bought it. I can never lose the feet. You can remove them, but you really don’t need to. It’s a way better design as to what Lasko is doing. Not to mention it’s easier to turn the knob when it’s in the window.
Made by Midea, same as Mainstays or self-branded Midea. They make well designed products, much better design than my LASCO. Single screw, grilles SLIDE DOWN, and off.
Thank you!!! All I was trying to find out is how to open it to clean, didn’t realize it slid down and was a little lost after removing the screw. Very simple once I saw this!
lmao danced across your carpet! xD hahaha well thankfully it didnt take out your ankles! :) great review bud, just purchased the pelonis one... id assume since im Canadian.(we get the same thing as Americans, just called different and slightly less powerful.)
npr victim Luckily it’s not, but it’s really built like one. Hence the reason why I use mine on the porch. If it gets broken, nothing of value is lost.
I know this is 3 years removed, but are they anymore? I'm here because I'm trying to figure out if Pelonis would be a better alternative to the Laskos. I don't think I've ever bought a Lasko that I thought was good quality, and the last Lasko box fan I bought shook like it had Parkinsons.
Sorry just saw this, opening the grill is done by pulling off the switch knob on the right and then screwing the Philip head screw at the bottom, and sliding the front grill off towards the bottom of the fan, let me know if that helps!
I probably do, but this is decent enough. I wanted a cheap plastic fan that would be absolute zero loss if it got damaged and this is exactly that. It’s not a bad fan. It’s plenty powerful for my use.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who buys extra fans as backups. I love doing that. Yes the utiltechs are good, but a little louder than I’d like. That’s why I didn’t want one.
