Everything is just cheap shit nowadays even the expensive fans are nowhere near what they used to be but at least they’re made by their own companies and not some generic Intertek garbage that have 30 different names plastered on them but they’re all made by the same host company

Found it at Lowes. Its made by the same company that makes the Mainstays fans just with a different name slapped on them.

On these really cheap fans go vintage or go home

Also main stays is ripping off the Holmes box fans with the knob being in the upper corner of the front grille.

I also have a mini collection of vintage fans like a 1970's Lasko 9" table fan with a brown translosen blades, 1930's Mathes cooler box fan model 546, 1950's Eskim 8" cobweb cage desk fan which looks like it can be mounted to the wall also and a 1930's-40's Hunters 16" table fan made from cast Iron and steel.

Seth Horst I have a lakewood box fan from the 90s model 200i with the big motor and banana blades and my grandma has one too from the late 90s or early 2000s with the tuna can motor and brace blade

Probably not that much, the only advantage that a lasko has is the blade design and the fact they still use metal for the cabinet/frame.

@@HPad2 I enjoy my weaker processors I love computers and not the iconic valuable ones just the typical lower end casual computer that's only being disposed of because no one needs it anymore all 13 of my computer's are everything but iconic specimens my Pentium 4 IBM 8187 thinkcentre works great for its age with a fresh copy of Windows XP and although it's a heat furnace it doesn't give me any issues and unfortunately on the fan Spectrum I'm relying on three not so well-built fans a large white Mainstays my mom got a couple years ago although it has been doing me well a small Mainstays that's foldable that my mom got recently which sounds like my window fan and my Sunbeam blizzard that I've had for many years but it's still on the cheap modern Spectrum

Q the fan dude 2005 Because of the brace on the Holmes box fan blade, the fan is so powerful that it can cool a country club clubhouse down as if it were an attic fan.

It's just a cheap modern and worthless fan, and those are fun to destroy. Also is a good way to show how crappier the built quality has started getting since the end of the 80's.

@@sethhorst6158 pretty cost-effective for those who like to destroy things I prefer it when Hpad destroys things like this and not vintage fans although like you said quality did start to fall off at the end of the 80s

That's when a lot of product manufacturing was outsourced to other countries with lower quality control.

@@sethhorst6158 the fan seemed to hold up pretty well to me .. everything you threw at it and in it those blades kept turning ! Motor well going great even when you beat the hell out of it you busted the blades you busted them off of course it won't work without blades ! waist of time ! you destroyed a fan that someone could have seriously used ! i guess if you have money and nothing to do go to the store find something else someone could use go ahead and buy it turn your reorder on and bust it up too !
