Ik heb nog nergens een filmpje gezien hoe je een boot (motorjacht met enkele schroef en roer), fileparkeert (dus tussen andere boten in). Dit heb ik namelijk meegemaakt in Engeland en kreeg het niet voor elkaar. Ik zou nu echter ook achteruit naar de kant varen en hem met een steekeindje naar de wal trekken. Dus een achtertouw vast en dan langzaam vooruit. Ik kwam toen helaas niet op dat idee (weinig vaarervaring en probeerde het dus vooruit). Ik houd wel van een uitdaging, dus ik probeer(de) het wel. Windkracht vijf en de wind dwars (90°). Omdat ik het niet voor elkaar kreeg, heb ik het "goed zeemanschap" maar laten prevaleren en een makkelijker plekje opgezocht. We wilden de borg namelijk nog terug (huurboot dus). Maar ik zou daar toch ook wel eens een voorbeeld van willen zien, hoe het echt moet, dus tussen twee andere schepen in met een dwarse wind van hogerwal.

Nice video. I have a port side finger berth and use the same technique when berthing stern too with a cross wind pushing me from port. Comes over great used the stern line as I’m mostly sailing solo. @Sailingandscuba
I'm missing either a FWD Bow spring or a AFT Bow spring to keep the boat nice and stable along the jetty. Then, Approcahing, I would have done differently, driving a boat backwards means less control on the rudder, even the foldable propellor tends to fold when not enough revs. I would have done this driving fwd.
It is better to point the stern into the wind and going backwards. The boat is more stable. With the bow into the wind, it is more likely that you loose control and the boat will turn. This is even more important with stronger winds than in the video. Of course, everything depends a lot on the kind of boat, rudders or propulsion system.
@@viatormarine Agree, but running the port stern line up to the mid-ship cleat and back to the stern again would give more control, not that it was needed with little tide.
Kijk naar de vlaggetjes vn die andere boot aan de steiger of naar de afbeelding van de windmeter in het begin van het filmpje. Wind staat niet haaks op die steiger maar komt vanuit de positie van de camera. Boot vaart weliswaar achteruit maar heeft de wind op de kont en dus wind mee en meert aan aan hogerwal. Titel is correct.
