I have been learning English for more than 3 years now, and throughout my learning journey I have come across many youtube teachers - native English teachers- who were in general amazing, but to be honest you are if not the best, one of the best. God bless you.

I always learn from you the modern idioms and words that Gen Y and Z are using. As you said, an educated native speaker might have 25 thousand words. One way of learning new vocabulary is to read. I got to get that habit of reading again.

Is it needed to speak English like native people?
@fanzheng1412
@fanzheng1412 Год назад
I find it hard to describe things or explain things to people in English. For example, I can never explain these words like Kayla did. I also find it hard to tell sequences of events in English. I can do those things, but my English sounds broken, and I just feel like a foreigner.
@Englishwithkayla
@Englishwithkayla Год назад
Don't give up Fan, learning a language and feeling confident while you speak is the most difficult thing to do! The fact that you are studying and learning new words on RU-vid is sure to help. Keep speaking and you start to feel more confident!

I think it’s just a matter of mood. Of course speaking in an organized way is a skill to learn, but most of the time our moods can affect our speech.

Persist vs. insist ? Don’t know the difference
@Englishwithkayla
@Englishwithkayla Год назад
Persist, to never give up on a goal or argument. Insist is when a person really wants to do something and won't let anyone else refuse or tell them they can't (insist is most commonly used to say that a person insists to do something kind for another person)
