None of them begged for Arkansas to hire. Arkansas talked to them (I know Mike Leach for sure) but Arkansas didn't want to pay what they wanted, so those names turned Arkansas down. Layne Kiffin was another one Arkansas talked to, and from what I hear it was almost a done deal until Ole Miss called him and offered him more money that we didn't want to match. So, no, none of them begged. They all turned Arkansas down, which is how we ended up with Sam Pittman, which turned out to be a very lucky hire.
I get that KJ isn't the most consistently accurate QB ever, but he shows some good flashes and he has a pretty deep ball. No sense in complaining about a QB who threw for 366yds and 3 TDs in a blowout win! Excited to see what these boys do next week.🤟🏼🐗
He can definitely throw. He is getting better all the time. He just needs to fine tune his accuracy a bit. On a couple of those long throws, if they had been thrown right, they would have been touchdowns, but because the ball was not put in the right spot, the receivers had to adjust a little bit to catch it, and they fell. Overall though, I think he will continue to improve. We will need to see how he performs under pressure though. So far, he has not been pressured much. He will be next Saturday though.
What he lacks in some areas he makes up in other areas. A lot will be on the coaches to use him correctly. And he will definitely get better every single game.
As an outside-of-the-SEC guy, if Arkansas can beat a couple of Ole Miss, LSU, and/or Auburn, we might be talking about them as the third-best team in the SEC West. I won’t count the Razorbacks out of the A&M game-would still probably pick A&M to win though.
I haven’t read all the comments so this may be a repeat. Looking at the Florida v. Alabama game, the importance of Cam Little stands out. The missed PAT had a major impact on the outcome of that game. Let’s hope “Little Cam” keeps kicking as well throughout the season.
Yeah I love his arm strength but his deep ball accuracy needs some work. I love that he can at least get the ball to them but so many times receivers are having to come back to the ball rather than being lead to the end zone
He definitely needs to learn some "touch" on his short passes as well. That int last week against Texas would have gone for six had he put a little arc on it. Love thw arm strength, but needs to pull it back on some of his passes.
His deep ball accuracy looks really good. He throws his check downs and slants to hard making some of them sail high. Are pass blocking is still inconsistent that should help as well
@@justinh6560 Did you not see KJ standing in the pocket and having all day to find to find a receiver? I think our O line is outstanding, both for pass blocking and rushing, but that is a Hallmark of a Pittman team. The future is so bright, I gotta wear shades!
