I’ve been into arts and craft since I was a child and it helped me a lot through Highschool. It’s always so nice to see when ppl my age to crafts as well bc it is more uncommon but we’re still out there!

My daughter, now 19, has made jewelry, painted, and crafted in innumerable ways since she was a toddler. She has been teaching herself (with a little help from dad) to sew and alter her own clothes. I have always told her to respect and learn the old ways, that we will be glad to know them one day

Thank you so much for this video. My mother, who recently passed, taught me all these stitches when I was about 5 years old. I'm 61 now & have very happy memories of that time spent with her ❤ I particularly love the cross & chain stitch.

I don't do embroidery, but I learned all these during my elementary school years. I'm now turning 40. My favourite stitch is probably chain stitch bec. it was the only stitch I gained a perfect score for. My feather stitch's perfect score doesn't count since it was my Auntie Zen who did it. Kidding aside, I remember that I used two colours for my chain stitch assignment, black and orange, for Halloween. Thank you for this excellent video and more than that, for bringing to fore fond old memories.

This was nostalgia...my teacher who was pretty ignorant (very strict) in giving any special attention at my struggle of learning these stitches, failed me for needle work😢 since then I worked really hard to secure good grades in academics so that I can be taught computer science instead of needle work. Looking at this video reminded me of my sampler (red colour) which I threw away eventually. On watching this video I think I still need to learn this...thanks for reignition of this interest ❤❤

thank you. im 17 and am glad to have come across something simple any easy to practice/use as reference. my dad, in his 50s, knows how to sew and such, and taught my older sibling. I'm pretty fortunate to have an easy path of learning something as complicated as sewing. To an outsider, at least
