Different because it uses gender from the speaker point of view. Unlike English where you end sentences with the gender of the person being spoken to . But at least it's not French.

I don´t get it ^^ I am male and of course I would prefer it to sound polite towards thai people in thailand. So I am going to say "sawaddi KRAP" BUT how would that translate into english? if Sawaddi means Hello. Why would I say: Hello from a man. ?? and why is that more polite?? every one-year-old baby can tell that I am male.... I don´t get it. maybe I should just go with: Mai Pen Rai :)

At the beginning of the video you did the "wai" incorrectly. Specifically, you brought your hands too far up your face, between your eyebrows, basically your forehead, which is only reserved for the King of Thailand, Buddha or a Monk. You should have brought your hands to the tip of your nose only. From Wikipedia: "The Thai greeting referred to as the wai (Thai: ไหว้, pronounced [wâːj]) consists of a slight bow, with the palms pressed together in a prayer-like fashion." 1. Hands to chin for your friends. 2. Hands to tip of nose for strangers, clients, customers, your parents or a teacher. Hands to forehead only for King/Royalty, Buddha, or a Monk. ; ) // Also, on number 19, you use incorrect English when you write (on the screen of video) and say "What do you say this in English?"-- it should be "How do you say this in English?" or "What do you say in English?". ; )

Learning a language by phrases is a very poor way of learning a language. You do not learn structure - verbs, conjugation, interaction between adjectives and nouns, tones, gender. Once you have the structure, all you need are words and you can create what you want. You dont need phrases unless your knowledge is designed to be limited.
