Instant subscribe for 5 reasons: 1. Getting into the products in less than 1 minute 2. Incredible close up shots with the cool little "follow" graphic (forget the name of this technique) at 1:03-feels very pro, fluid, unobtrusive, yet cool (and informative). 3. No background music! 4. Perfect framing on your main talking head shot 5. Beautiful lighting Such a high quality video that I'm saving it to my "video advice" folder for some inspiration if I start to make videos of my own. Thank you so much for the (free) lesson!
Easily one of my favorite youtube channels right now. I feel like I'm having a nice relaxing conversation with you everytime I watch one of your videos. Thanks for all the great content!
Funny thing when you watch multiple EDC "review" channels you will notice that they review all the same stuff so then you can be sure that they get those from companies and they make just ads and not reviews :-D
LOL. Thanks for sharing. I, myself, am a 42 year old dad of 2, so I feel like your videos were made for me, even though I can’t afford the things, it is fun to see what is possible. Peace.
@Marcus - My wife and I love camping - we take our kids now that they're old enough and love it to bits. I love knives and always have a small one on me, but when camping, I usually have a small fixie on my belt, and a utility knife somewhere in a pocket or close-by. She always nips mine or borrows it. I bought her a James Brand Redstone (same colour way you shared) and she is IN LOVE with it). It's fun, approachable, sturdy and for me as someone gifting a knife, it's a proper knife, that's safe, high quality and isn't "tactical" for her. It's hers and she carries it all the time now in her bag, but camping, it's in her pocket. Makes me so proud. We're urban folk who come from the country and it's the best way to Bridge the past and the present.
Been enjoying your videos. New subscriber. Do know so many people are hating on O’light, I have several lights. Started with the Baton 3 premiere. Love this light and use it everyday at work. When the Baton 4 came out I had to get one. Now I have 3 of the premiers for my vehicles.
Love the content. Great lighting, great video. I had a few knives I loved this year but the Palmer is always with me. I use it on boxes and cutting matting to mount some prints.
I noticed you wear two watches, I’ve thought about doing it for the longest but I’m a bit of a introvert so I don’t feel comfortable having to explain to a random person why I’d do it. But it looks so cool on you, my question is, did it take some getting used to? Bc for me I stopped using “normal” watches bc I’ve just got so used to wearing my Apple Watch on my left wrist. Awesome video and awesome content! Cheers from Mexico 🇲🇽
Hey buddy. It really depends what stage of life you’re at. In my 20’s I would have been exactly the same way and really felt self conscious doing something people would judge me for. I’m 42 now and thankfully have given up caring. People comment on it all the time. Some people judge. I really don’t care. Life is short. Sometimes hard. Do what makes you happy. 😊
The kaweco is my daily pen, actually I just pulled it out of my pocket together with my other gear since I just came home. Love it, the way it looks and especially how it writes. That said it has already leaked on me several times and also one time it just didn’t wanna write when I wanted to write something down. So it’s not 100% reliable, especially compared to my Lamy Al Star that never had any problems. Still I really love my kaweco due to its lightness, how pocketable it is and the writing feel and already thought about upgrading to the metal version
I just got it so haven’t had any problem with it yet. For me it writes like a more expensive fountain pen and it’s so cheap I’m not always worrying about it. Glad you like yours so much. 👍🏻
the orbit key is cool, magnet is secure but the actual carabiner is very cheap. the springs in the carabiner will surely give out over time. wish they would upgrade the carabiner for the price
I grabbed an orbitkey mystery box recently in a sale, and it didn't disappoint. I got 2 key organisers, one of which was the darth vader version, a key ring, notebook, ID tag. All their products are super useful especially when trying to slim down your EDC items.
Good day! Just stumble on your video. Great video and very interesting. I hope that the items you share are products that we can buy in Amazon in the UK. I live in Ireland.
I didn’t even think it was easy to shop on Amazon UK in Ireland since Brexit. My folks have had terrible trouble with it. However, there is something I can do to make the links globally universal. When I get a spare hour or two I’ll figure it out. 👍🏻
12:04 curious about the magnetic part of this wallet, wouldn’t it affect any cards you carry? Everything is tap or chip nowadays so it isn’t the end of the world, just curious
Recently came across your channel. Love the videos and helped me out with some Christmas gifts, thanks! I tried everywhere on the internet to find the A7 Tomoe River Notebooks but none seem to deliver to Ireland. Would you happen to know of a site that I may have missed?
First of all thanks for watching the channel and appreciate your positive feedback. I’ve only ever ordered the journals in the US and never had them shipped to Ireland. You can get them on Amazon sometimes in the US but they are notoriously hard to find.
@@MarcusCreates No worries, I might try AddressPal by AnPost as a workaround. Your channel has brought me down the ESC rabbit hole and I’m here for it 😅 Thanks again!
I’ve only got one but it’s pretty cool. It’s by nitecore. www.nitecorestore.com/Nitecore-EDC27-EDC-Flashlight-p/fl-nite-edc27.htm?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiApaarBhB7EiwAYiMwqu0iRcJZ7Z9kq-v8iTuyRiDbQBAr3_RpN-oOvRmYBlDJEPELEZb9-hoCB7QQAvD_BwE
It feels premium too but it’s only $16 😂. I lost some weight this year so had to buy some new swagger. Looks like it on sale Black Friday for $10!!! amzn.to/3SY9Q7F
Love this. I will say, a knife I just picked up on Amazon for cheap is the Smith and Weston Benji. It comes with a money clip/clip that's been really nice to carry and incredibly low profile. Plus, it was only $20 when I picked it up. Highly recommend for another cheap knife video.
Lol to you, bud! EDC=Every Day Carry, which can mean something different for each person. A teacher may carry an assortment of stationery items to mark/grade papers (back before computers became the norm in schools), and granny's EDC would always include crayons, paper, gum & candy when taking grandkids to church. Who doesn't have EDC? Even a little tot in preschool carries EDC,which may include diapers! I don't really like to disrespect anybody's EDC, bcz it means something different to everybody. To each his/her own. Not everyone needs overpriced Hi-Tech gizmos, knives, flashlights, etc. If you do, Jon Gadget has a lot of that. But even he appreciates stationery items.
@@MarcusCreates tks! I need all the prayers I can get! GOD bless your pea-pickin heart!❤ (Maybe I mistook your 🙏for something you didn't mean. Maybe it was just a simple nod of agreement to my post. Sorry.)
I have a watch which holds a lot of sentimental value to me but I want the data tracking and phone connectedness of a smart watch. So sometimes I wear them both. Not getting any cool points I know. 😂
Nice video, have a Victorinox Rambler on the car keys with the last 15 years, if I lost it I'd replace it that very day. Love that Oclip light, think that might be a self gift shortly!
Good stuff Marcus, especially the rambler SAK. Recently been using my bum bag sling style - ace. Quirky JB knife - I get the quality but the style/names/price are a big turn off for me. Thanks for sharing.
The James Brand isn’t for everyone for sure. But think it’s a playful knife and an easy gift. I like it a lot. Quality is top notch but totally get you can get a lot of knife elsewhere for the money.
Just to note, I owned an Orbit Key w/ clip but after 8 months of daily use, the carabiner spring wore out and the leather/plastic attachment that connects to the ring and magnet tore. Not a very durable product and not worth the price. Warranty was one year so I returned it.
I love pocket knives, but my Victorinox Swiss army for most days. Take it out at a kids birthday to cut some streamers or tape or a box and all anyone says is some sort of kind words about having had one or wanted one. Least intimidating pocket knives.
Be careful with pairing fountain pens. They are like potato chips….you can’t have just one! Now to play devils advocate, if you wanted to upgrade that Kaweco, check out the brass sport version or Kara’s kustom pens (I’ve got a titanium fountain pen from them).
I am a small channel and work in tech as well. My channel is more travel focused. Do some tech reviews for travel. Great videos. We used to live in Mountain View and Sunnyvale. Do you work in the valley?
the baton seams like such a gimmick, why not just buy a bigger flash light itll perform better and be nicer to hold while using and still weigh the same amount.
I think it’s pocket-ability. Some people don’t want the burden of carrying a bigger flashlight in their pocket, but are willing to carry the charger in their backpack. Not for everyone for sure, but I like it. 👍🏻
what in the hell... I was like oh cool things to get to have a great day at EDC Festival. Turns out it means (EDC) EveryDay carry is at use here which. I think it should be E.C. Everyday Carry or Minimal Camping Gear! (MCG) would be better.
Ha. It’s always a tricky one recommending a knife. The Para 3 is a $200 knife so doesn’t make the cut ( trying to recommend sub $100) but there are plenty of Spydercos that do. What would you recommend in the sub $100 range?
