Sunshine, 3D Land and 3D World were all judged for what they weren't instead of what they were. Same thing that people did with Luigi's Mansion 1 and Wind Waker to name a few. Such great games, but far too many people don't give them a second of thought
I respect your list, but I strongly disagree with Super Mario World 2 being on it. It's a great game, however it is not a Mario game but rather a Yoshi platformer
The Bubsy cameo cracked me up 😂 the original Bubsy is one of my all time favorite games :) I know it’s technically a Sonic clone but dang is it hilarious and fun. Its awesome!!!
I always wondered why paper Mario was never in smash bros but we got like 4 links lol. Toon Link and Paper Mario are like the perfect duo of Nintendo experimentation in games.
The sandbird is not a walk in the park, but perfectly manageable. I don't get why people complain about Sunshine being hard, but then complain about other Mario games being easy.
@@CulturedVultures There are some more challenging shinies that will make some go elsewhere and come back later. But that's also true for 64. The truly difficult ones in Sunshine are not actually mandatory to finish the game.
Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door not being on here is quite interesting as it would be a top 5 Mario game for me but this is a fun list My top 5: 1. Mario Bros 3 2. Mario Galaxy 3. Mario World 4. Mario 64 5. Paper Mario TTYD 30k Gang
@@CulturedVulturesdon’t listen to him, Mario galaxy is the best Mario game, I thought Mario sunshine had weird motion controls, and was hard to control Mario, it was much easier to control Mario in Mario galaxy. I agree with you and don’t listen to the haters.
The tail end seems to have a bit of narrative dissonance. With the accolades given to Mario Galaxy 2, it came across as axiomatic that Galaxy 1 would follow.
Also I was tossed between Odyssey and Super Mario Bros 3 for number 1. Haven’t finished the video yet. I know Super Mario World is a big hit. But I think 3 is still superior 🤷🏻♂️
