Missing a lot of hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. In particular I can remember two involving Jack Tatum.. The one on Sammy White in Super Bowl XI and his collision with Earl Campbell during a regular season game where both of them ended up flat in the end zone

Who knew the NFL has only been around for 20 years. The fact the Bednark hit on Frank Gifford from the early 60s isn't on here calls into question the legitimacy. The Tatum versus Earl Campbell hit in the 1970s was absolutely one of the greatest hits ever, BOTH GUYS got knocked out the game. There are COUNTLESS hits that actually happened BEFORE 2005 that belong on this list

Where was the Atwater hit on Okoye or the Ed Reed punt return hit. Jack Tatum on Daryl Stingley. John Lynch on Barry Sanders in the open field or when Lynch knocked out his own brother-in-law. Pretty new school video but all of these old hits were pretty much as real and legendary as it gets. Where was Ronnie Lott?
