Minor thing about Pokemon Live. It was conceived by Norman Grossfeld, who was the president of 4Kids. The production itself was more of a 4Kids production and had no involvement from Nintendo, Game Freak, or the Pokemon Company. Though Ikue Otani was also involved, providing the voice of, of course, Pikachu. Also, it sort of contradicts the Japanese audio dramas about Team Rocket's origins.
11:35 in the Adventures manga there's also an evil Prof. Oak wich is Sabrina's Kadabra disguised as Oak, and that design looks EXACTLY like that sprite! So it must've been taken from those early versions of the game or something
my theory on the imposter oak part was going to be related to the GOLD/SILVER plot point at the radio tower. Except... we rescue someone else in the final release. Could it have originally been oak that was kidnapped as he was a radio DJ in these games?
Also Colress’s name being derived from the word ‘colourless’ is also denoting his detachment from the Team Plasma sages who all -save Ghetsis- have colour-themed names: Gorm (‘blue’ in Gaelic), Bronius (derived from ‘brown’), Rood (‘red’ in Dutch), Giallo (‘yellow’ in Italian), Zinzolin (French for a particular shade of reddish purple), Ryoku (from ‘ryokushoku’, a shade of green in Japanese)
Saturn wasn't called a girl in Pokémon Arventures. It was Diamond and Pearl Adventure that happened in! Despite the nearly identical names those are very different series (also i think the mistake only happened in English). I don't think you know what irony is. You keep calling things ironic when they're not. "double trouble" isn't a concept unique to Team Rocket, my man. Colress, not a bad guy? He was going to freeze over the entire region because he wanted to see what would happen! That's pretty damn evil. On the other side, Star isn't an evil team at all so idk why they're on here. Impostor Oak is in one of the comics, How I Became A Pokémon Card. But he wasn't a villain, oddly enough! I've heard of Team Kings! I know that manga! Oh come on there's no "main" manga. Adventures is just the most popular. Man, remember when we used to get a bunch of manga every gen? I feel like Aqua and Magma's original team has something to do with the sunken ship, meaning Wattson was probably involved as well as Ship, and Cozmo's father. Ever seen the footage of the oroginal first meeting with Cyrus? Seems originally you were supposed to meet him on Floroama Town and he had a more more positive and encouraging attitude. He also had encounter music that was quite jazzy, though this wasn't found until recently.
Dear Pokemon, PLEASE GIVE US PROPER EVIL TEAMS AGAIN! A over enthused fan base and misunderstood bullies (arguable) IS NOT AN EVIL TEAM. Where are the stealing Pokemon wants to "liberate Pokemon" and expand the sea or land villians?
@@johnnycage112 was team skull that bad as well? I thought they were apart of the aether foundation? Note I've never played Sun and Moon as I didnt have a 3ds.
Since pokemon is a "kid's game," nintendo has to dumb down on the dark plots and evil villains. That's a kick in the shins for older players because pokemon is actually played more by people who grew up with Pokémon than children. You find children playing adult games these days, like call of duty.😒 I miss the old plots of stopping a mafia type corporation from trying to control the world with pokemon.
@Larka661The last two games have had a villain who flat out tried to murder us, and a villain who was going to destroy the ecosystem of the region without a care. This idea that we're lacking villains is weird because it really isn't true.
Another interesting note about Colress being neither a good or a bad guy, is that in the anime he is on Team Plasma's side helping them take control of Reshiram with his Pokemon mind-control device, but after they got caught and their plan fails, Colress declares in an almost nonchalant fashion that his next invention is gonna be a device that will allow people to communicate with Pokemon. That clearly shows that Colress really doesn't care about either side, good or bad, as his mind control device and therefore his partnership with Team Plasma, was just another job for him.
So far, this is the only place saying that. At most I've seen assumptions the evolutionary line could be connected from the arts looking similar. Unless I'm missing some interviews or leaks from 2024, there is no established connection on cannon
@@jamaldavis2480 I swear there's an old comic that shows Cubone without its mask but I can't find it right now. I went through three volumes of 4koma but I know I have more somewhere.
Mars makes the least amount of sense as the Roman God the Planet she is named after is literally the God of Masculinity Venus would make more sense for Her
Should've been "Evil teams... and Team Star" because they're not really evil... and that's not a praise. The only reason they're not the worst "Team" in Pokemon is because Team Yell exists. Last two Pokemon games have been disappointments
Not one that’s exactly a secret but I still think it’s cool that your basically a Team Galatic Grunt in Legends Arceus Cyllene is the ancestor of Cyrus and she’s your boss and after beat Volo and go on the roof with Cyllene and Komado Cylenne basically tells you that she’s the founder of Team Galatic and you are a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team which is the predecessor to Team Galatic
One of my favorite facts is that Archie and Maxie are canonically queer and have feelings for each other, which was confirmed by Pokémon's official Twitter in 2016. Also, Ghetsis is one of very few canonically physically disabled characters in Pokémon, which isn't great because he falls into several harmful tropes.
I really love that clip of the four Team Rocket grunts walking from Pokemon: Generations. It looks like they are drunk. I never get tired of seeing that.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who deciphered Correas’ name. Also, him being colorless and empty is a parallels to Kyurem. They also both feature blue in their designs
I believe that the fact about Archie and Maxie working on the same team is true. In Pokemon masters during the hoenn villain arc you just get them flat out saying that they used to work together but split ways because they could find a way for their ideals to coexist. If I'm remembering right anyway
sorry to tell the real truth but blue gray father is giovanni not red or ash they been trying tell us sense the very beginning of pokemon like how did gary get the car n the girls giovanni is rich so what does that tell you n he is related to volo bec the legends game showing volo having a Arcanine in his team so that means Cynthia is a lost cousin to blue/gary bec theres volo and cogita and giovanni is the son of prof.oak
