🏡...These are just quick ,lovely recipes ! Just in time for grand children . It has to be delicious ,less sugar with all my homemade love ...💞 Thank you for sharing with all of us . Be Blessed !
Thank you for putting out recipes for those that are going thru hard times right now and cannot focus on special dietary needs or health but rather just food in their stomach with simple ingredients. I thank God I am blessed not to be in this situation but know plenty of people currently going through this right now. So again, I thank you!❤️
Hi Shelly. Thanks for stopping by and leaving us a comment. SO many people are going through tough times right now. We are so happy to help by stretching your dollar and feeding your family!
I love that you included interesting side dishes for every main dish! My favorite recipe I stole from you is the instant pot beef and broccoli. It’s perfect to serve over cauliflower rice and my boyfriend and I eat it all the time! I have to thank you for having such a variety of instant pot ideas. You helped me explore more options for using my instant pot when I was intimidated by it.
thanks so much for adding in side dish suggestions!! I'm always stuck on what to serve on the side, and since we use a Lot of canned goods, it usually comes down to "corn", "green beans" or nothing. Can you, please, do a video just on sides and what each would go with?
My husband will try a chicken dish. Maybe. His usual comment is “oh it’s not TOO bad.” I usually make sure there are hot dogs in the fridge and if it IS too bad he can help himself. 😁
I love their meals, but I do agree. I would love to see more beef. I need more iron, plus I get organic beef from my dad and need more ways to use it then just spaghetti, tacos, and roast.
Yes! For the time being here is a website to 50 go to dinners that we like to make all the time! www.sixsistersstuff.com/recipe/six-sisters-50-go-to-recipes/
I'm Canadian so I'm thinking maple syrup instead of honey on those oven cooked baby carrots!! Thanks for sharing all these delicious looking recipes. Ground chicken is a great alternative to ground beef being a healthier choice. I also do a similar meatball recipe except I use a can of whole berry cranberry sauce instead of the jam/jelly.
That was funny. The idea is to flavor them so the kids don't care that it's zucchini. My kids would eat broccoli and cauliflower as long as there was a tasty cheese sauce or they would dip them raw in a ranch dressing.
Obviously these recipes are for only people who own n Instapot- You should either give an option for a slow cooker or at least put a disclaimer at beginning of video
I noticed that too. I myself cannot eat pepperoni but I usually make an Italian beef roll using similar ingredients and adding papa Charlie's italian beef
This is all instant pot all I have is crockpot. So I wish y'all would tell us how to do these for a crockpot on the video. Dang some people cant afford a instant pot.
Thanks for listing the name of the recipes in the description and time stamping them. Makes it easier to find something when I'm randomly going back through old videos I saved.
Just an observation but I am poor and most low income families can’t afford an instant pot let along ingredients like artichokes and fresh salmon. Try using the dollar tree and general or a discount grocery store for your ingredients.
IF U MAKE THE EGG MUFFINS - spray the pan really well. I’ve made these before, and it was such a mess I threw away my muffin pan and ordered a new one on Amazon. I also have silicone baking cups/liners and they’re amazing for this recipe.
Hi Caitlin. Thanks for stopping by. We are so glad you like the video with all of these easy meals!! We know it can make your life in the kitchen so much easier!
Great on the yogurt BUT unless you have a second Instant Pot pot, you cannot use your Instant Pot again until all of the yogurt has been eaten...and that is definitely not good if you want to use it for cooking dinner and when there are only two people in your home and only one of them...me, the mom...likes, and eats, homemade yogurt like you made unless you have another way to store it. Thanks, Nancy
I really love that you added a simple side dish to go with the meal. Sometimes thats the hardest part is planning what else to go with the main dish that doesn't take a lot of extra time to make.
It should be pointed out that for the yogurt recipe the "Fairlife" milk is not 1/2 gallon, it's 1.5 liters, which makes it 12 ounces less than 1/2 gallon.
Yes. As others echoed. Thank you for doing something reasonable and realistic that's not pretentious considering the times we are in. I have quit several channels because I'm sick and tired and disgusted of the typical tone deaf spoiled stay at home mom that didn't do so much thus holiday season as donate all that stuff they don't need since they shop all year or donate some food from their full to the brim pantries. I also couldn't see another "how to host a holiday gathering." Smh we are in a pandemic. This is more reasonable to life right now unless you're a Kardashian. Thank you.
So far, my favorite recipe has been the Cheesy Chicken and Rice. I am able to make it on the weekends and take it to work for lunch all week long. I also really like the bbq ribs and the salmon. When I made those recipes, I felt like I could actually call myself a cook. It feels good to be cooking again. Thank you for making it so simple.
Hi Sandy. Thanks for leaving us a comment. You made our whole day! We love to hear about your favorite recipes. And how nice to knock out lunch for the week too!
I have been watching your Instant Pot Recipes for awhile. Glad to see you branched out to other cooking methods. I would really like to see some healthy recipes with or without the Instant Pot♥
these are great..and taste wonderful! at least the one i tried already..😁 i think we all appreciate any help to cope & cook with some recipes from the sisters we can trust.. thank you🙏💙
The pizza rolls look interesting but I have to ask where's the pepperoni in the pepperoni rolls? They just look like cheesy pizza rolls? Did you forget to add the pepperoni either before it was rolled up or on top?
Looks like I will try the avocado chicken and the turkey cauliflower recipes since they have the least processed ingredients. Thanks for the great ideas.
I get my socket salmon from Alaska vacuum packed and already frozen. There is very minimal degrading of the product (I don’t think there’s any) because it comes directly out of the sea from the fisherman directly to the processor who also flash freezes it. If you can’t get it that way because you don’t know a fisherman, the grocery store does have frozen sides of salmon. Also I’ve purchased Costco’s sockeye salmon and it’s quite good. Fresh is wonderful as long as it hadn’t sat around in the meat section for days. Or you go fishing yourself AND clean it and put it on ice immediately. Many don’t have the capacity to get truly fresh salmon. I’ve been a commercial fisher. I was also in the fishing community and eventually also owned a wholesale seafood market. Even fresh can be bad and frozen will be if not treated properly. But it can be the best option. Especially now that there isn’t a lot of fresh to be had. Looks in this case do matter. I would recommend trying Costco’s.
Because i grew up on canned green beans i have issues usually with fresh or frozen ones. The instant pot ones would the texture be like that of canned?
Thank you - these are great recipes! I have made many of your recipes and they are all delicious! My favorites were the sticky sesame chicken and the instant pot ribs!
Yes!!! This is what we like to hear! Thanks for stopping by and leaving us a comment. We are so glad you like the Mongolian beef recipe! It's one of our favorites!
@sixsisters and all... I’ve had my instant pot a while now (10 qt). I don’t use it much because I’ve yet to be impressed with what has come out of it. Meat is always dry to me. I’m not a cook so do you have any tips for adapting recipes using the 10 qt?
@@SixSistersStuff yes, I’ve seen all the videos. That’s how I found you guys. But they’re all for the smaller pots. I have a 10qt. How do I convert for what I have?
you should do a video on the many uses of an instant pot and how to use it. there are a lot of us who do not know how to use them, but would like to know.
I’ve been making and loving this cold method yogurt for over a year. If you have a 3 quart IP it’s the perfect size. I prefer thick greek yogurt so I strain out the whey for at least several hours - it’s amazing how much whey comes out. Makes perfect greek yogurt.
With the yogurt, Mountain High absolutely has the best flavor! I tried many brands, and this makes the best yogurt. (Did you know that the taste depends on the strains of bacteria that are in the starter yogurt?) I only use 1 tbsp. and it's enough. I use some that I've saved from the previous batch. I don't use the condensed milk because I don't want sugar. I believe that sugar affects the viability of the bacteria. Instead of a whisk, which scratches the bottom of my insert, I use an immersion blender. I add the starter first with a little milk, blend it with a spoon, then add the rest of the milk. I use the immersion blender until it's frothy.
Thanks for your comment @Linda Harris... I was wondering about that exact issue myself. I just LOVE the flavour of sweetened condensed milk, so was/am quite intrigued & tempted by the idea of incorporating it into the recipe... but was/am also concerned about whether that would in turn affect or negate its ability to culture the next batch(es) going forward after that... (and then *_their_* ability to culture the *_next_* subsequent batch(es) after that... and so on....) Plus, not to mention also that a diminished (or nil) microbial count would therefore of course impact (or negate) the probiotic health benefits that come part & parcel w. eating cultured foods... (which is *much* - if not most - of the reason why I buy & eat yogurt to begin with!) And considering that part of the appeal of making one's own yogurt is to not only control the ingredients that go in it (and so into our bodies, as well)... but I think for most people who make it themselves, a big part of it is *also* about saving money too... so having to continue buying more store-bought yogurt just for a few tablespoons of starter to make your own at home just doesn't make practical sense at all... (especially for myself, where one tub of it will last me for quite a while, as it is). So, with that in mind, I suppose then that a better option would be to simply add in the condensed milk later on??... (as if it were simply another flavouring addition like fruit, compote/jam, honey, etc...??) Linda, do you know to what extent the microbial viability would be affected by including the condensed milk during the incubation stage? Only somewhat? Or do you think it'd be quite significantly?? (Mind you, since it appears from this video that the milk/yogurt was able to set up just fine even in the presence of all that sugar from the condensed milk, would that not then also imply that perhaps there *is* no negative effect (or maybe very little) in terms of microbial activity (& its future viability)?? Sorry for the lengthy msg to lay out my thought process with this & my questions/doubts as a result... but am admittedly feeling a little confused about this so would appreciate any feedback from those who know... to help steer me in the right direction w. this, so I can proceed accordingly and make an educated decision re: how/when/if/whether to add the condensed milk (if at all)... thanks!
@@fenixdesigns My naturopath says that any kind of sugar in your yogurt, including fruit, at any stage, will kill the good bacteria. The most I ever put in plain yogurt is stevia, which doesn't affect the viability. But with the yogurt started with Mountain High yogurt, I don't need even that. When I buy a container of yogurt for starting the first batch, I use a tablespoon or so fresh and freeze the rest in an ice cube tray. Then I use one of those for each new batch until I've used them all. After that, I save a few tablespoons for the next batch. I just have to remember to take the frozen cube out a day ahead and let it thaw in the refrigerator. And when I save some from the current batch, I do it right away so I don't forget later. I hope that answers your questions.
I don't have a pressure cooker so most of these I am not sure about but I picked up a few-thank you! Maybe you can do some with just the oven or a crockpot which most people do have? You are very kind!
For my pulled pork recipe I use 1-2 packets of onion soup mix (depending on size of roast), 1 glass bottle of coke and then I cook it. Once it's done I can do 2 things I can do bbq OR if I mix in a little bit of brown gravy it taste amazing as well! Both go on the brioche buns that are super cheap at costco lol
Really great video on a lot of levels Kristen. How this video and the message behind it gets dislikes just shows how far humanity has fallen off. I don’t read comments on any social platform because of keyboard warriors but I hope they were good. Great job as always
Thanks Roy! We appreciate you stopping by and leaving us a comment. As six sisters we just want to help everyone get dinner on the table for their family. Especially through these trying times!
I have had an instant pot for 2 years. It has been sitting on my shelf the whole time unused. People keep saying that once I use it, I'll use it all the time but for some reason, I just can't make myself start using it. Your recipes make me really want to start trying it........
Do it! You will not regret it. I started using my instant pot with six sisters, and haven’t stopped. Their recipes are awesome and very easy and delicious.
Thank you so much! My friend is having twins soon, and is looking at bed rest, then a long nicu stay, and c section recovery. I am trying to meal plan with our friends for her and these are so great and useful for her season!
I do not have an insta pot or pressure cooker. Have no desire to own one. I do have a Ninja Foodi Frill. I’d love ideas. (That is if you have one.) ♥️🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS‼️💚 🛐 JESUS is the reason for the season❤️ ❣️❤️
Great recipes but I didn't see an InstaPot in my near future. Crockpot, airfryer, oven and the old fashioned 6-qt pressure cooker 😂. I’m sure I could adjust and use the pressure cooker or crockpot gif those recipes. Thanks for sharing!!
Wouldn’t it just be cheaper to buy a tub of yogurt? Milk, a tub of yogurt, and condensed milk would cost more than just buying already made, and then the additional toppings? Cha-ching….
I tried cooking yogurt per your instructions and it didn't work. Very watery. Then I bought an Instant recipe book titled "Insta Pot Miracle". When you push the yogurt setting a couple of times you will activate "boil". You have to boil the milk first up to 185F (pressure relief valve open). Once it reaches the end of boil, you open the insta pot a quickly cool the liquid to 110 F. I use a whisk and place the inner pot in an ice water bath until cool. This is when you whisk in the yogurt and sugar. Any hotter than 110 F and you kill the cultures. Then you close the insta pot again and set to "yogurt" for 8-hours. When boiling and yogurt setting you must open the pressure relief valve before boiling or cooking in yogurt setting.
these all look so good but if I was without $ or just using food pantry food these would not work... they are all more expensive than someone without $ could afford.
I really appreciate you doing this for us but the problem is the meat is what I can't afford. Can you make the 3 ingredient food with less expensive meats. There is no way I could afford to buy salmon, a roast, or ribs. My budget will only let me buy meat like chicken, hamburger, hotdogs and can tuna. Stuff like that. Can you help with meat like that?
I enjoyed all of the recipes shared! My favorite of 6 sisters is an oldie, quick salmon in a pan. It is awesome and well loved in our house. Especially when grilling season is passed. My only question for you girls is can there be more recipes without cheese? And sooo much sugar? We really have to watch this for our family. Thanks so much for all the 6 sisters do! God bless your work!
I have injured my back and on rainy days, like yesterday, it is difficult to even make sandwiches. I did a nice sandwich with favorite toppings and pulled out the leftover pasta salad from the fridge. I printed all of these recipes off because I believe I can do them even on the bad days with only 3 ingredients. Thank you so much.
>love watching your shows. I wish you could put the recipes on the bottom so I could copy them. > am 85 yes old and I don't always catch what you are saying. When I 1st got my instant pot I bought your cookbook. I love it.
Love all your recipes. Just have a couple of questions on other recipes please. You cooked banana bread in oven. Can you tell me the temp and time to do in air fryer? Also you used a cute silicone bunt pan. Would you share which one to purchase? Many thanks Mary
