You have installed your cable clamps backwards. The saddle (not the u-bolt) should be against the "live" side which is the one carrying the load. You have the saddle on the "dead" side. Always follow the wise saying "You don't saddle a dead horse". This applies to all of the guy cables as well as the winch cable. The u-bolt is more likely to cut through or weaken the cable.
Wow! That's a wild setup. I'm about to put one of my 2kw turbines up 60 to 70 feet on 2 3/8 well pipe. I've got some 60-foot trees, so I'm concerned I'll still be hindered.
