Eh I rather have sequels/remasters of these games than 90% of the new garbage live service games full of microtransactions and battle passes big studios are trying to shove down our throats.
Funny how Falcon acknowledged so many terrible sequels that killed franchises and is wondering why they they aren't coming back. Resident Evil is more of an exception than the rule
Take-Two did officially announce a new Bioshock game by a new 2K studio, Cloud Chamber Games if i recall correctly. Guess we won't wait long for a gameplay reveal.
@@afd19850 yup, especially with call of duty being widely regarded as shit for that past like 6 years with them being far worse than old cods it seems like an ideal time for a shooting franchise to try and challenge them, not to mention microsoft now owning call of duty puts its playstation future at risk so sony needs their own shooter such as killzone

Growing old I'm starting to realize one thing; Turn based JRPG, even the 2D overworld-styled - is "a really relaxing game" because you can take your time on it. Chrono Trigger, and please Grandia too, needs to come back...

The hard part for me is that it won't ever feel like splinter cell without Mikael ironside, basically too much time has passed for me. Don't get me wrong, I would still gladly play it but it would *feel* like splinter cell as much

Just finished another play through, alas I don't think we'll get it due to not knowing who owns the rights to game...i.e. legal hell so it'll probably never see the light of day for a sequel
@@granglerarcade1950 yeah I used an HDR mod to give it a bit of an upgrade, still holds up well though, beautifully polished game. In fact this play through (probably my 5th) was the only time I encountered bugs. Also, remember you're not a man unless you eat a pork bun!
Jake Baldino def is a J&D fan, but a list is each their own, and I wouldn't expect J&D to hit that many people's list, even though I love the series through and through 😭
As a big fan of Splinter Cell I made a John Wick style action montage using Splinter Cell Blacklist stylish takedowns. Looks really cool. If only we got a proper John Wick game that way, Ubisoft could license and stay afloat. They have all the right tools already.
@@afd19850 Right, when I was capturing footage I was in awe how much time and effort they put into these takedown animations. Not to mention, a Max Payne Remake from Rockstar would be a nice bonus :)

@@shawnjohn5756 A remaster wud be something's-better-than-nothing. But Soul Reaver 1 & 2's combat mechanics need an update. Legacy of Kain: Defiance's combat was better, but not great that Kain & Raziel's move sets were identical, just different in name only.

My sister was playing burnout. She was doing one of the challenges where you try and create as much devastation as you can on a controlled area. This one was jumping from one bridge onto another one and trying to obviously take out as many vehicles as possible. She ran into a hilarious glitch, she landed on top of the oil tanker and she went up because of the explosion and then it exploded again and she basically turned her car into a buzz bomb going vertical.... Like off the map. To date, that is the funniest video game glitch I've ever seen
I always preferred Red Alert to Generals. But Red Alert 3 wasn't great either. The units became too convoluted & required more micro-management if IRRC.
Honestly? Some of the Square games should be given a new shot. Parasite Eve, Valkyrie Chronicles, Front Mission... Hell, if Squeenix wanted, and they have these IPs still, they could even make friggin crossover games with these IPs and more. Imagine a Final Fantasy Tactics game that has everything the old games had, but your characters are also Wanzer pilots (with different specializations that add more spice along with their usual jobs), and pilot Wanzers (which can be further modified and whose parts change/enhance their functions depending on a pilot's job and specialization) to beat up powerful monsters and other Wanzers. Hell. Would've been also great to have a horror version of Front Mission mixed with the Parasite Eve series. Now that would've been great.

@@strider029 yeah I forgot midnight club. Thanks for reminding. Project cars 3 was not project cars and yeah they don't deserve a game if they are going to make it like 3. But I think they could vastly improve tomb raider though. Crystal dynamics didn't do shadow of the tr and thats why it wasn't as good as the reboot game or its sequel. ( third person action adventure exploration games are missing as of now ).

I'd love that but Criterion have been neutered since making NFS games. If it came back I'd want someone else to handle it. There was supposed to a spiritual successor called Dangerous Driving 2 but it's either dead or in a long term coma.
Honestly there’s a bunch of horror series that should be given another chance: FEAR, Condemned, Danganronpa, Dead Space (an actual sequel), Siren and Aliens Vs. Predator just to name a few.
A new Left 4 Dead game would be amazing. Also this one's kind of out of left field, but I'd want another Godfather game, all they'd have to do is combine the best parts of 1 and 2 and it'd surpass most of modern gaming. Maybe these don't count because they were one-off games, but I will always think it's criminal that we never got sequels for Bully and Castle Crashers.
Ridge racer, wipe out, DriveClub remaster for PS5 would be great. Resistance, Killzone, Army of Two, Splinter Cell, Kotor, Infamous, Sly Cooper, Cannon Fodder, theme park, bitmap bros games like speedball, chaos engine, the wing commander series, I would also like a conversion of the original Simpsons 4 player arcade game. Oh and Motor storm, Twisted metal, Turok, Shadowman and a Sleeping dogs sequel. When I was playing Star Wars outlaws ship sections, all I could think was how I missed the wing commander series.
I love it how everyone feels that Dino Crisis should get a remake when with the money printing that the RE remakes are making there's a real chance of eventually getting DC remakes. Meanwhile capcom's competitor to Final Fantasy, the Breath of Fire franchise, gets absolutely no mention...

Owning an IP should not be an infinite thing. Should make it so that if you don't do anything with it for a few years, it can go on the market and be up for grabs. Tired of all these companies buying shit up and then just letting it wither away. Do something or cough it up!

I really, really miss Splinter Cell. I’m 28 and it’s the stealth action game that introduced me to the genre with Pandora Tomorrow. We need more truly good stealth action games again.
would like to see another Homefront Game. ive quite enjoyed the Revolution, its weapon customisation mechanic where quite intresting, but yea the overall gameplay can be a bit stale
SPLINTER CELL MENTIONED !!! The reason the VA changed was bc the original one was very ill and could not work while game was in development. But in the last ELEVEN YEARS since Blacklist, a couple other VAs have taken up the mantle, as well as Michael Ironside (the original) again. I'm talkin in Ghost Recon Wildlands / Breakpoint, in the Captain Laserhawk tv show, and in R6, all of em doing a decent job. Just some days ago they revealed another tv show about Splinter Cell, now with Liev Schreiber voicing Sam. Getting a big name just for a limited Netflix anime? or could it be testing the waters for a new main VA for the character? (coping hard but pls i need another SC game)
A few personal additions: StarCraft and Sly Cooper. I feel like it's been long enough where they could do anything with those IPs and it'd be well received - assuming the games are actually decent. But that's a lot to ask these days, so maybe it's best to just let them die as legends
