Just got my hands on a landfill-bound LC II system, and once it's recapped and working I'll be looking for some games to try on it. Looks like there are some good ones to be had! Many thanks for the concise list! Rock on!

Also check out "Eight Ball Deluxe", a great pinball game by developer LittleWing. (It isn't in the video, since I hadn't decent video footage of it).

We had one of these but traded it up the same week for the LC III for 8 mb. Couldn’t touch the 040 models but it was still pretty capable.

I remember all of those games except for Arashi and factory. I had the original LC for a few years. Gone through 59 different Macs since then! LOL Thanks!

What was your favorite game?

Glider, would have been a great addition. Prince of Persia and out of this word we’re fun games.

Glider is good, it's in my video's "20 Games That Defined the MacIntosh SE / Plus / Classic (B&W)" and "99 Classic Mac Games of the 90s" :)

A solid list, although Tristan required an FPU which none of the LCs had

There was a workaround - Software FPU :) macintoshgarden.org/apps/softwarefpu-307

Interesting for a game to require an FPU in that era. I thought Quake was the first due to the Pentium.

The tune is "Puyo Pop Memories". Was Puyo Pop for the Macintosh?
@applemctom
@applemctom 3 года назад
Yes, sir, it was (I think) shareware simply called 'PuyoPuyo''.

were there any amiga and apple games that were compatible?
@OldAussieAds
@OldAussieAds 2 года назад
No. The Mac and Amiga were two completely different platforms.
@Corsa15DT
@Corsa15DT 2 года назад
@@OldAussieAds basicly the same platform, same cpu, some ports from mac to amiga should be straight forward, not the other way around though, cause the amiga was way more advanced and used a lor more features in special chips.
@OldAussieAds
@OldAussieAds 2 года назад
@@Corsa15DT Right. I didn't think you were asking about ports. Absolutely there were some of the same games on both platforms, such as Lemmings and Space Quest.

Several classic games, but not much else. Is the original Macintosh family (I,II and LC) that poor with games?
@applemctom
@applemctom 3 года назад
Yeah, for a long Apple promoted the Macintosh a business computer only - they didn't want to be affiliated with games too much, in fear of consumers seeing the computer as a 'toy'!
@Corsa15DT
@Corsa15DT 3 года назад
@@applemctom yea, the toy known as PC is everything today.
@OldAussieAds

There were heaps more than this. Vette, 4D Boxing, Sim City 2000, Space Quest, Loom, Crystal Quest, Shufflepuck Cafe and many more. After the LCII there continued to be heaps of great games like Marathon. It didn’t have as many good games as the Amiga. But the Mac LCII made a better games machine than the Amiga made a business machine and in my opinion was the better all round choice as a home computer.

@@OldAussieAds Oids, Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle, Armor Alley!!! MAN!! Great games! I remember also using ResEdit to do edits of alot of games, by changing all the sprites.

This isn’t “Mario” as you know it. This is an educational game. It’s not what you think it is.
