dear any and all random internet strangers: play Outer Wilds. it made me cry in the best way possible. if i explained any more than that i would sully the experience. have a good day and see ya around
I think Ender Lilies is a really cool but underrated game, similar to Hollow Knight in many ways but with a different setting and art style, portraying dark fantasy anime, and a bunch of cool unique mechanics like spirits. I think that if you love Hollow Knight and are waiting for Silksong to finally come out, that game is definitely worth checking out. I would say that it definitely is on the harder side, but combat is quite fair and polished, so getting good is really satisfying and possible even if you are a fairly casual gamer. It's also quite cheap right now, so I would definitely recommend checking it out! The soundtrack is also really lovely and made by Mili, who is author of many great anime themes, such as Goblin Slayer opening!
Once you start Trails in the Sky, one of two things will happen: You will bounce off because anime style isn't for you, or the franchise will become your new addiction.
Blasphemous would definitely be my pick on a game to pick up this sale. Godly pixel art, amazing (albeit convoluted) story and great combat, 100% worth the price. Amazing videos keep it up
I like cross code, or at least what it seem to be. But i have tried to get into it and i couldnt understand how to enjoy the start of the game, it feel like i am missing something. It feels so slow and im feeling like im undergeared and underlevelled, with not many tools to use other than the standard combo. I really want to know whether im missing something, the game later on looks amazing. In the end, i started and stopped it many times and restarted the game several times and never really made it out of the starting town area.
The game does get much better when you level up a bit, but it’s also important to recognize that not every game needs to be loved by every person. It’s ok to say a game just isn’t your cup of tea 😊
I could recommend dozens of great games to you including Crosscode (which also happens to be my favourite game of all time) however you would probably have heard of them all by now due to their reputations for being good. So, if I had to choose two underrated picks they would be Furi, an incredibly intense boss fighting game with a story told through atmospheric walking simulator breaks between fights and Monster Train, which is a very addicting deck builder that supports hundreds of builds and strategies and I personally consider to be in a similar class of greatness as Slay The Spire.
SIGNALIS is on sale right now. RE:Remake style horror game, came out last year. It's... unbelievably good. I don't even like horror games, but the postgame depression is hitting hard on this one. I can't really say anything more about it without spoiling stuff, but as long as you don't actively hate horror games, you NEED to play SIGNALIS. Keep your promise.
Damn I had no idea about that but I just watched a video on it and that's really messed up. Isn't the whole point of the game literally about fighting against greedy and corrupt capitalist corporations? That's very ironic and sad.
Atomicrops is a criminally underrated indie game. It's a twin stick shooter/farming simulator, which sounds weird, but it really works. You can sink so much time into a run and it feels so good to learn the enemies and get better. Plus the soundtrack is a bop.
if you like hollow knight please play ender lilies! its a beautiful metroidvania game about a fallen kingdom. the music is stunning, the art is unmatched, and piecing together the story is a great experience. all of this make it an oddly peaceful and calming game to play despite its difficulty and horror-centric visuals. also!! you may have heard of a new gacha game that came out, limbus company! its already gotten decently popular (rightfully so) for its compelling characters and vast worldbuilding. limbus is free to play, but its prequel: library of ruina, as well as lor's prequel: lobotomy corporation, are both on sale! lobotomy corporation is a visual novel roguelite with management sim gameplay, where you're the newest manager of L corp! each day, you expand the facility to add a new monster that you can send employees to research and extract energy from. all while interacting with your ai assistants to uncover the history behind the company, as well as what it has done to the people around it. fantastic game. the second in the trilogy, library of ruina, follows a similar formula of the player acting as the manager for the new and improved L corp after the ending of lobotomy corporation. again, it's a visual novel based upon these same ai assistants as well as many new characters, but this time the gameplay is more rpg-inspired fighting with a card game twist. while lobotomy corporation served mostly to establish and get you attached to the characters around you, library of ruina follows up with the same, while also focusing on expanding on already established world building in a new and far more detailed manner. also, the same band that composed ender lilies also has some beautiful music in ruina and limbus! :D
Have you played Deaths Door if not you should play it. Its a souls game more or less (maybe not as hard... even i have beaten it) and you shoulf try it =)
Mount and blade warband Project zomboid Rimworld Shogun 2 and FOTS(buy shogun 2 first before fots, you'll thank me later) Enter the Gungeon Project Wingman Ori 1 and 2 Any game made by valve, it's dirt cheap Rain World Dungeon Munchies Darkest Dungeon Signalis Outer Wilds The Pathfinder games WH40K Boltgun Saint's Row 3 and 4 Kenshi Songs of Conquest Synthetik Ace attorney games All of the games above I've played and completed. Best bang for buck for each hour I've spent. Highly recommend.
BoomerangX is on sale rn and that game is amazing, beautiful and fun. Everhood is on sale, looks super interesting (undertale vibes for sure).if youre an RTS fan, the homeworld remastered collecrion and more the more recently homeworld deserts of Kharak are both in sale for less than $5, this is considered one of the classic rts franchises. Killbug and Kingsom New Lands are some reslly fun indie games, Kingdom in specific has some beautiful pixel art and a fun but simple gameplay loop. And my final recommendation is Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, or VTMB. Its made by the same studio as the original Fallout games and is based in a bored game. It has some absolutely amazing atmosphere, writing, and quests to do. Sadly, it was rushed by Activision and it resulted in a very rushed ending, but its still an AMAZING game. You will never play a game like it. Oh, and John DiMaggio is in it. Cmon, what more do you need to know - BUY IT
@@apoxfox If you're looking for another game with a really interesting premise, look into CTRL ALT EGO. You play as a disembodied consciousness that can take over various types of robots to use as your "vessel", this extends to doors as well. You want to open a door? Become the door.
I got into the show Steins;Gate 2 weeks ago and wanted to play the visual novel it's based on so I was happy to find out that the collection was on sale from 120€ to 42€. I picked it up and have been loving reliving my new favorite show in VN form! It actually has the best time travel plot written in human history!
