I’m appalled by the girl getting suspended for being abused. As a teacher myself, that just infuriates me to the core. 😡😡😡😡😡

Yeah that was absolutely terrible, to punish the victim and not the abuser... utterly disgusting. Sadly student abusing student is on the rise. unfortunately mostly girls being assaulted in the toilets at school. The victims go and notify teachers/admin about being assaulted and the next thing they know, they are being suspended or expelled as well as being forced by the school to apologize to the attacker. The perpetrator goes unpunished and life continues on normal for them. While the victim is left struggling to put themselves back together, struggling to understand how it all ended up like that

It is *the* stupidest decision ever, especially even after evidence proving the abuser came to light. Wonder what kind of logic was going through their heads...oh wait, logic would mean having brains, and from what we seen, they don't have any brains. Wonder how they got their positions then.

I have a disability and when I got bullied a lot while in school, I was told the school barely did anything to stop the bullying. My mom saw me get abused plenty of times, and reported it to the school administration, but they were like "boys will be boys." Yet when I acted up, I got in trouble, and I've even been suspended twice for bad behavior, and my dad agreed with me that both of my suspensions were results of injustice.

Same thing happened to me. Even when i did nothing, my bullies would make up stuff and lie to the principal just to get me in trouble for laughs. I even was kicked out of 8th grade music class permanently cuz one of my bullies wouldn’t stop taking my things and throwing it across the room. This list is insane. Wtf is wrong with teachers and administrators at American schools?!? I'm horrified that children were either suspended or expelled for practically nothing. Worst is how some of these kids never got it removed from their records, which will cause them problems later on. The amount of crap that teachers have said or done to students have been worse. Especially the amount of teachers that punish diabetic kids for using their phone or other device. Teachers stating that the kids are texting or playing when they are actually trying to check their blood sugar levels. Yeah, some kids are assholes and just horrible to teach or deal with, but the majority of them are very good kids who don't intentionally cause trouble, but some teachers/admin need to pull that stick outta their butts

I got in trouble with a teacher for “being disrespectful” when the teacher was absent. As to what I did, I don’t know, as nobody was willing to tell me. I got multiple days of detention and had to write an apology letter to the EA as she was the one who reported me and who I had assumed I was supposedly disrespectful to. When I acknowledged what I thought I got in trouble for, turns out it wasn’t the reason. Only for the EA to go and tell my parents that I was lying to them about the incident and I got grounded at home. Long story short. The EA had fabricated the incident as apparently I wasn’t her first victim and she had done this to any student she didn’t like (which was a lot and included some of my friends and my older brother) and the teacher who punished me was extremely gullible and believed every lie told to her. Thankfully the other teachers I got at that school were smarter and she couldn’t convince them that I was some problem child. Also years later my parents apologized for not believing me as even they raised an eyebrow when I discussed what happened and the fact that there were so many normally good kids who “got in trouble” under her watch.

Not me but: suspended for a replacement button on a shirt. Nearly a decade after I graduated the Pennsylvania school district I had attended adopted a private school style uniform policy - uniforms had to be bought from a contracted supplier. A lot of parents were not in favor of it and the school board handled that especially poorly (more below .) They added draconian punishments for violations and the first was a replacement button lacking the embossing of the original which got a 3 day suspension. The board had a series of "town hall meetings" ostensibly to gauge parents' views but really that they believed they could convince the parents to support the policy. When it became clear the support wasn't going to be there the board president said "we don't care what the parents think, we're the board and we're voting for it" in about as many words. It was part of the rushed policies that were supposedly about school security but often didn't help circa 2000.

I point blank asked the principal why another student’s lack of self discipline at finding a hair colour “distracting” was more important than another child’s education? I further enquired if they could prove that every teacher & other student in the entire school had their “natural” hair colour, then we would agree to change our son’s hair colour back. He is currently in grade 12, and his hair is bright green, blue, and purple.🥰

In 8th grade, when I was 14, I almost unfairly got myself suspended from the school bus and one of my best friends, Jackie, who tried to stick up for me, God bless her soul, almost got the same punishment. We had another bus driver who we loved a lot, coincidentally named Jackie, who had to leave for a long while for reasons I can't remember. Lol But, the female substitute who stood in her place Jackie and I hated and so did everyone else. I didn't even know that what I was doing would lead me up to trouble. I admit, there was one moment where I actually did talk back towards the bus driver but it was for reasons that she was not understanding and I was trying my best to stick up for myself. I'm very bad at organization skills and even to this day I still need to work on them. Whenever I knew that I was getting closer to getting home I would try my best at getting myself ready but I was always bad at getting ready at the right time and the mean bus driver assumed that I was doing it on purpose. My best friend Jackie, God bless her soul, even stood up for me at one moment. But, then the mean bus driver gave both Jackie and I an actual bus referral and wanted it actually signed by the principal. My parents and Jackie's parents actually found it very ridiculous but luckily the female principal actually knew me and Jackie well enough to know that we were innocent and didn't suspend us from the school bus. She had the talk with the mean bus driver and I changed up my habits to be much better organized with my things before getting off of the school bus. One thing's for sure Jackie, everyone else, and I were so thrilled to actually have our old nicer bus driver, Jackie, back. EEP! :) But, even then I wanted to be very respectful of Jackie so I still made sure that I was well organized with my things before getting off the bus. Lol

I really feel sad for the girl being suspended for getting abused. I had a teacher who actually did the same to a girl in my class at high school who was constantly abused and bullied for her dissability by other students and teachers. I took it upon my self to be a guardian for her during school time, and outside me and my friend network became her new life. To say her mum was happy is to say it lightly. And in school my friends and I always had her back. Even took the war to the teachers. It p***es me off when schools go down these routes.

I was once suspended for two days when I was like 10, because me and my friend had been drawing a bad cartoon of our teacher, who was horrible to us, feeding posion apples to students (something only a kid would do). The teacher had found my friend's notebook after class, and some other students, who didn't like me and were actively bullying me at the time, ratted me out right then and there, despite it not even being my notebook. My friend, whose notebook it actually was, didn't get any type of suspension. The teacher got so upset about a 10 year old's bad cartoons that she ran home, and no one from the school could get a hold of her for a couple of days. I had to write her a long apology letter and come in for a personal meeting with her. I was so upset about it at the time, the teacher made such a big deal out of it, that I thought for sure I had ruined my entire education (I am autistic, and a bit of a nerd, so that was a very scary thought to me). Today I can very clearly see that she was a horrible excuse for a teacher, and should have never put her own self-esteem issues onto a child.

In elementary school, during lunch, students would get "benched," meaning that they are forced to miss out on lunch reccess for an X amount of time. So in the 4th grade, I had a separate math teacher who got me benched and I had to miss 5 minutes of lunch reccess, and they didn't tell me what I did wrong. So they gave me lunch detention for no f***ing reason. And when classes resumed, my primary teacher asked why I got benched, and to this day, I still don't know why. The teacher assumed I already knew, I was forced to make a guess that didn't finish a homework assignment, but that wasn't the reason. Nobody gave me a clear answer.

LoL... I live in SoCal and went to a private Christian school nursery through 8th grade and in my 6th grade year, it was lunch time and the fourth fifth and sixth graders all had lunch at the same time. It was a small Christian school so everybody had to eat lunch physically inside the playground at the tables and then after about 15 minutes they would dismiss the 6th graders to the outer portions of the playground to socialize for the rest of the period. During the table portion of lunch I got up to throw my trash away and you know at that age you still have boys sitting at one table and girls sitting in another table, so I sat down next to my crush at the time on my way back from throwing my trash away just to say something and then I went back to the girls table. Our lunch monitors would choose at random somebody to wash the table before dismissing that person when the table was cleaned to wherever they went on the playground or outside. So the playground monitor came up to me and told me since I was table hopping at the eating. I was going to have to wash both tables before I could be dismissed with the rest of my class outside the playground. I can seated although I thought that was pretty stupid to reason that that be why I wash the tables but I did it anyways and started to head outside the playground... She stopped me and said "where are you going?" I let her know that I had washed the two tables and was going to go join the rest of my class for the rest of the period cuz I wanted to have as much time to socialize as possible and she told me that I had to wait until the rest of the other kids washing tables were finished before I could be dismissed... To which I turned around looked at her and said, "This is Stupid!" Boom! - Smacked with an In House Suspension for being disrespectful of our lunch monitor! So ridiculous to be honest with you! Yours truly got to spend an entire day sitting outside of their favorite principles office and the principal had to look @ their "favorite" student all day! It wasn't too bad, my friend snuck me some notes during breaks and I got a lot of homework done!

A person with the Genetic marker but does not have CF aka a carrier, can not get a person with CF sick. It just means that we have to be careful whom we have kids with. If our partner has the gene then we MAY, and I stress MAY have a baby with CF.

I remember number #1 and hearing about that story of the kid who built a digital clock for his "science project." yeah that teacher and the school they are definitely racist and only "accused" ahmed of building a bomb and being a terrorist because he's Muslim/Arab. you're right and i agree with you miss mojo Ahmed shouldn't have been suspended from school and expelled it is ridiculous and absurd the kid was definitely targeted and expelled because he's Muslim and because of his race. what makes it even worse is the internet and youtube and reading the idiot comments in the comments section about the "incident" from people defending the teacher and the school and their actions and people agreeing that he's a terrorist when he isn't and saying it was a bomb when it was just a clock a digital clock Ahmed built for his science project to show his science teacher and what makes me angry and "pissed" me off even more about this incident is i don't think they would have done this and the kid would have been "expelled" if the kid was "white" the teacher and the school is definitely "racist" and Ahmed was targeted because he's Muslim race is definitely a role in this incident and it definitely played a "factor" here and i don't care what anybody says especially all the idiots and morons on the internet and youtube in the comments section defending the teacher and the schools 🏫"despicable" actions but i am glad those people most of those people are in the "minority" a very small minority of the comments though and most people in the comments like 85 or 90% percent of them agree with and defend Ahmed.

I was in 9th grade and teacher gave me a stapler as a hall pass. I had a friend in a class I shot staples at (going 6" in front of me, 20' away from him) and was seen by our vice principal. She pulled me into her office and wanted to charge me with assault using a deadly weapon. I laughed at her and so did the other student involved. After the SRO said that is was stupid (his words) I was so excited for her to explain this to my father, a police officer. He informed her in the kindest of ways that if I had stapled the guy in the forehead several times she would have point but that this was just outrageous. The SRO agreed and it ended with me being suspended for disrupting the class room. A couple weeks later I was suspended for having a sucker in my mouth in the hallway, she may have been holding a bit of a grudge 🤣
