I actually considered editing them playing all at the same time on a loop but panned in different directions with reverb to get that guitar store sound.
Love that you included a T. Rex riff. Marc Bolan's riffs and songs are really underrated in my opinion, glad that someone recognizes that he was more than just glitter and a pretty face.
Any legendary riffs: - Blur - Song 2 - David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust, The Man Who Sold The World - The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again - Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall - The Police - Message In A Bottle
Here's some favourite guitar riffs of mine 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins Blister in the sun - Violent Femmes Over and Over and Over - Jack White Monsters - Matchbook Romance Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie Heaven on their minds - Jesus Christ Superstar Undone - Weezer Out with a bang - Self Never Meant - American Football
How are you so good at getting these tones? Just listening to this video I was impressed by how much these riffs sound like the records they came from!
Same here with external pedals. For that reason I tend to just use a foot switch to switch between clean and distorted channels on the amp. I use the clean channel for the clean parts with gain and then switch to the 'crunch' channel for the distorted parts, or switch on the booster. Depends really. There was also a firmware update last year for the Katana, I don't know if that's something you could do also. There was some new sounds and settings in the tone studio that you can use to help you shape the tone even more.
I’m a huge fan of clean solid state amps, and here’s my two cents on getting a good drive sound from external pedals (I don’t have a Katana, but I think it should still help). Solid states are gonna be brighter and more fizzy and sharper than tube amps. If you like a tearing drive sound that’s great, but otherwise you might need to tame your high end. You also gotta realize a lot of drive sounds are pushing a driven amp. So stacking boost/dirt/distortion pedals into an amp-style overdrive can really help.
@@zachary963 honestly i think it is just the katana. i got rid of that thing and got myself a tone master twin reverb, i did the exact same eq and the distortion sounds way better. it’s at low volume on 1 watt, yes the 2 speakers make a difference but the katana just sucked from the get go.
I've always felt like the riff of dazed and confused should be recognized as legendary or more widely known. Of all the guitar riffs videos I've seen I rarely see it included. Despite it sounding sinister and looks to fun to bend the strings
I love everything you do. I don’t know why you’d change your name tho, too many Bloxsy’s? A few years back you had a version of Just Like Honey that made me cry. A beautiful boy sang it to me once long ago, he sounded a lot like you. Anyways he is long gone, but now I noticed that your original video is gone. Maybe I am mistaken 🤔 Anyways thanks for all the joy
This one? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fahqm-aNjQA.html Thank you for the kind words. The Block was an old name, then Blocksy, then Bloxsy. I guess I just can’t make my mind up.
