Man makes it a lot funner shooting a vid when your tank looks this good. Always liked the red plants against the green.... Seems like you can really handle this tank better than the huge one you had... Well done man 👌
Just amazing. So amazing watching it come together. Hopefully some day I will be makings scapes at your level. I just finished "dirting" my first tank and will begin planting in about 3 hours. I'm going to be very low tech though. Amazing.
Absolutely beautiful tank setup. But the editing in of cut-aways and different angles made for a really nice video too. What is the music that you used?
This tank is stunning Sean. Great job. So healthy and vibrant. Between the pearling and the school of fish swimming from corner to corner. Wow. What light are you running? Also if you get a chance can you check my last update and give me some pointers. Thanks.
Thanks for the kind words! Im using the beamswork double bright hi lumen something or another. Not quite sure, but I made an unboxing video of it, feel free to give it a watch.
At 1:21 the centre piece green coloured plant by the rocks, the ones with wrinkly edges, Sideshow Bob hair like, what are they called (as I have them too)? Love that. And did you replace the repens with this plant? Oh btw this tank is AMAZING. Kudos.
Thats Pogostemon Helferi, aka ' Downoi ' which means " little star " in Thai, where it originates from. I did replace the Repens with Downoi. Thanks for watching!
Sean, this looks great! Where did you get your AR mini from? You said in another video it was a tropica plant, but I can't find any US distributors of tropica stuff...
hey man i'm planning to use the 72" version of this light over 3 tanks. two 10 gallons and a 20 long. do you think it would grow downoi and hc's with ease? how long have you used the light and are you still happy with it?
If only I could get my 20 gallon long with artificial plants right. Fucking ammonia is always sky high no matter what I do. I've done literally everything too. I don't overfeed, I've even started doing daily water changes. This sucks :( I have 4 Serpae Tetras and 3 Cory Cats and 2 Blue Rams and none of them are very active anymore. Yes, I let it go through it's cycle before putting in fish. I really want to do a planted, but if my damn ammonia stays this high there's no point. On the bright side, my female ram looks to have eggs.
