did the catfish attempt to eat your oscar? I have a 15 inches red tail catfish and i will be getting a 7 inches oscar. Would that be wise to out them together?
This happened to me today. I have a planted tank with organic soil and a 2 inch sand cap. I have had bubbles coming from the back for a week now, but thought nothing of it.....until today. It must have been a huge bubble because today I saw my tank and it looked like mud water. I had to drain 75% of it and collect all the wood chips off the surface. Wasn't pretty. From now on I will be poking the sand regularly.😂
What a waste. All you need is a python hose to remove or add water. I own a 160 gallon tank and i use gravity to remove about 20% of the water every 2 weeks and than i fill it back up with the same hose. Shame about the S.Repens carpet. It's green gold and basically nice advertisement too Edit: I have a sand substrate, dark water and its hard water too. I have my lights on for about 12 hours per day. I use liquid fertilizer and capsules, but for the life of me i can't seem to get algae. I also have 6 Golden Appel snails. There must be some combination of things i do right that make this possible, bit i can't say what exactly it is
Thnaks so much for this video, i looked all over RU-vid, but none of the RU-vidrs or dirted tank RU-vidrs talk about this issue, at least none that i can see anyway but you. There are rookies like us who make mistakes when setting up a dirted tank and i am getting the air bubbles like you and didnt know what it was. Thanks to this video, i know what the issue is and how to fix it.
I know this is an old video, but thanks for the upload. You ocnvinced me this is the way to go. I'm going to a 150 gallon aquarium from a 75, and want to effectively get Co2 everywhere. This is the answer.
