My first backpacking trip was a solo 7 day journey along the Selway River from Selway Falls to Moose Creek. It was perfect and life changing. Fell in love with that part of Idaho. Amazing job on this one, Jon.
Jeez. That was really good. The shot at 01’48 was excellent. Not sure you’ve discussed it yet as I’m still working my way through your content, but I’d really love to hear how you approach your editing and audio mixing. Really like how you cut back and forth to specific shots. 👍👍
WOW! Great scenery and bad ass video. I commend you for your bravery to head out into the backcountry in those conditions and doing it solo to boot. Having seen your other videos and live streams, I understand why you challenge yourself based upon your own words/reasons. That being said, I would never attempt such a trip by myself in those conditions. One wrong step near a creek or encounter with a bear by yourself could be your last. Just my 2 cents. I totally understand your sense of adventure, but I’m sure I’m speaking for all of us who enjoy your videos we would hate to lose you. Take care my friend.

I started editing for a dance company and it’s a totally different experience editing with professionally taken videos vs my amateurish videoing lol. I upgraded to Final Cut Pro and yeah.. Total game changer! Thank you for your inspiring videos! They continue to remind me to chase after my dreams.
