Thank you so much for taking the time to take care of yourself by practicing with Sustain Life Journal Yoga! I hope this Hatha yoga class can be a consistent part of your morning routine and self care practice! Even taking 20 minutes per day to prioritize yourself can go a long way for your overall wellbeing.
Some gentle reminders:
🤎Yoga is for everyone! And everyone deserves to feel comfortable and at peace in their body and mind.
🤎You don’t have to practice on a yoga mat. Feel free to use the carpet, a towel, grass etc.
🤎You can wear whatever you want to flow through your yoga class (matching yoga set, pajamas, shorts, jumpsuit etc.).
🤎It’s more important that you are present and/or focusing on your breath rather than getting to the deepest physical level of a pose.
🤎I am just a guide and you know your body best. Check in with your body and intuitively follow the movements you prefer! If something hurts or feels off for you-stop! And find a space that feels better. If you would like help finding a specific modification of a pose, please leave a comment and I will try my best to include it in a future class.
🤎Yoga was originally created in India, thousands of years ago. As it has spread around the world, it has shifted a lot in how it is practiced. As I deepen my own personal practice, I hope to share more of what I learn about authentic yoga with you!
