Amazing that the airlines are using all types of heavy airliners on what seem to be a variety of regional and national routes. One would have imagined higher frequencies of small planes serving these routes.
I was thinking the exact same! My only guess is that they are confident in having a full flight every time on regional routes to justify using heavy airliners. Japan's cities are densely populated after all.

So you came to Japan. How was Haneda Airport? I also go to Haneda Airport often because it is close. Because there are many domestic flights here, there are few big planes. If you have the chance, please come to Narita Airport as well.
